"Name one of them," Ruby said.
"The sword..." Seth said. "I have not seen Ling since that time I told him to get the sword for me. I do not want that falling into the hands of people that want me dead. People like the queen, for instance, and maybe... the king now. Who knows?"
"I do not think that your brother would do that to you, Seth," Ruby said. "I do not want you having that in your mind."
Seth smiled. It was a sad smile. He took Ruby's hand in his and cocked his head to the side. "You do not know... never mind," he said, deciding against what he was going to say to Ruby. "I will be on my way now. All I know is that I need that sword in my possession. It shouldn't be with anyone else."
Ruby nodded slightly and watched as Seth walked out of the door.
