Zack had made a three-sixty long-range blast, obliterating most of the green army. But another tremor came forcing him to stop spinning and ended his blast. Another wave of dimness swept across the void and the creatures shrieked louder. Their green glowing eyes shone brighter as they charged nearby.
Tess and her teammates held tighter unto their swords as the swarm closed the space between them. But something strange began to happen. The creatures began shapeshifting into them. In another blink, Tess was slicing through the heads of her teammates.
A spike stabbed her heart, and her arms were about to cease up. But the purple blood flying from her swords meant they weren't her true teammates. Still, the muscles in her arms contracted in case they ever needed to stop in a split second. It hindered her speed causing the creatures to get too close with each careful blow she made.
