Three close burning balls spun in endless circles in the black sky. Everything their dim light cast upon was far away, except the top half of a slender monster. Their light gave form to the monster since it had pitch-black skin.
The monster's lower half was a busy sea of massive wriggling tentacles. Its sky-reaching top half hid behind a wall it made from vertical tentacles, but it didn't need its head to see. All its tentacles had black-filled eyes and they could shoot to great lengths to slap away any target.
Not even the restless Reve disappearing through Vortexes could reach the fragment. The fragment was not in clear sight, but its energy could be sensed behind the monster's living wall.
