It had gotten even dimmer and the white stars were coming out in the dark blue sky. They didn't need a watch to know it was that time of the day when they should have been locked away behind monster-proof doors. Tess and Zino were heading after the monster that looked nothing like a Sybervirian, leaving Zack and Lanse to deal with Sheena.
"Why are you moving so slow?" Tess snapped at Zino.
The whole time since they began running Zino kept at Tess's pace even though she could technically move at the speed of a laser blast.
"Everywhere is wet," Zino replied.
Every step Zino took reminded her of the last time she ran too fast. Sid had manipulated the earth to wrap around her feet causing the bones and muscles connecting her lower leg to her knee to rip out of place. She still had not gotten over the excruciating pain and wanted to prevent something like that from ever happening again.
