Meredith wrapped a towel around herself and wrapped her hair in a second towel. She wasn't sure what she had just done but it had felt so right and yet so wrong at the same time. She was warring with herself on whether or not what had just happened was a good thing. On one hand it had brought her closer to Brayden in a way that the dinner questions never could. But on the other hand it was far too intimate and crossed the line of what should be allowed.
It put her dangerously close to vulnerability and her heart was teetering on the edge. Finally both sides of her mind agreed on a truce. She sealed up her heart and decided regardless if it was good or bad she suddenly felt a little more confident wearing her rings. She dried off and wrapped herself in a fluffy robe then padded to the chest of drawers in the bedroom.
