When Brayden returned he found Meredith sitting in his home office chair. He took a breath and approached her.
"I ordered lunch. Soup and salad. I normally don't eat a lot of pizza but I do like Gino's. I'll get us a pepperoni."
"Oh. Okay." Meredith wasn't sure how else to respond. She wasn't sure what to even do in this home that was supposed to be theirs. He was a stranger to her and this home was unknown. Everything in it was his. It was all so expensive. While she had thought of enjoying a bath she wasn't sure when she would have privacy to even take a bath. She didn't know how much that fancy tub had even cost. She felt like she shouldn't touch anything for fear of breaking something expensive.
"We can go over particulars during lunch." Brayden interrupted Meredith's line of thought.
"What do you mean?" Meredith asked, cocking her head slightly to the side as though that would help her to understand what particulars he was talking about.
