"First Brother..."
Ryan's voice made Andrew come back from his thoughts. He immediately turned his body to look at Ryan, who was checking Mel's IV infusion.
"How is Grandpa progressing?" Andrew asks quietly to Ryan, who now is sitting on the single sofa in front of him.
Ryan took a deep sigh before saying… "His condition is still the same as before. Now he is in an ICU room to be monitored for 3x24 hours. Hopefully, he can wake up, and we can start treatment for his cancer."
"What are the odds? Please tell us the truth..."
"Well, we can slow down the spread of the cancer cells, but the survival rate will remain unchanged, so we just prolong Grandfather's time, but the chance of success is still low."
Andrew's face turned darker. He was uneasy if anything happened to Grandpa, Mel would be devastated. What's more, what just happened to her was the same as what happened with the accident a few years ago that took her mother's life.
