Chapter 46 - Chapter 46.

Kwang Kwang Kwang!

impaled the chest of a Goblin.

Not many Goblins were standing.

The raid seemed over.

"So soon?"

Arman expected to have a great time on the adventure. But, the raid was over in less than an hour.

With a dissatisfied expression on his face and disdain in his heart, Arman sat down.

"It would have been better fighting that Soso bastard."

It was actually true. Though an idiot, Soso was a good fighter. He always had something interesting to him. The main point was that he was stubborn, very stubborn. He wasn't of the likes to give up. Yes, he was unrelenting.

"Now that I think about it, I haven't seen the guy in a week or so. Perhaps, he too gave up."

Arata beheaded the last Goblin.

Arina clapped her hands once to grab the attention.

"Everybody, the job isn't done yet."

'What?'

Arman was somewhat unconvinced.

The fort was captured and there were no enemies remaining. So, what made the fifteen-year-old-self assumed incharge say things weren't over yet?

"There are still some enemies inside of the fort."

Arina pointed towards the large doorway of tower at the centre of the fort.

That didn't make sense. If there were more enemies, why didn't they appear when the fort was under attack?

This was an obvious question that would rise in anyone's brain. But, none seemed to share the same thoughts as Arman.

So, Arman didn't give it a thought.

'We'll see about that once we defeat them.'

The squad intuitively assembled itself. Arman was at the rearguard. He decided that he should first see how strong the opponents are going to be, before actually getting involved into combat.

'To not have shown up even when every last of their soldiers was dying, they must be quite heartless.'

Arman concluded.

And then, they entered the tower.

There were two staircases ahead, both lead to the same place, the second floor. Their was a corridor by the upper end of the stairs.

The interior of the tower resembled a typical Bungalow.

But, as soon as they entered, a throwing blade landed right at the face of the squad.

Turning their heads up, there were about a hundred guards hanging by the walls as if they were Shinobi. All of them were atleast on the same level of strength as Arman. Few of them were alien creatures, while a few others were humans.

One alien who had a distinguishable appearance from others spoke to a human beside him in an alien tongue.

The human talked back in the same language and turned his head towards Arina's squad.

"Our boss says that he will let you guys live if you return back to where you came from."

"Why are you, a human, siding with the aliens!!"

Arman burst out.

In a moment, every single person shifted their gaze towards Arman.

Dai Ito impulsively grabbed Arman and shut his mouth tight by surrounding his own palm around Arman's mouth.

"Don't mind him."

Rather than ignoring Arman, the man actually took the initiative to explain himself.

"Though I am a human, I am not an earthling like you are. The land which you dared to invade, is my home, where I was born, and brought up..."

The voice was suddenly cut off.

A hammer had crushed the body of the man who was speaking, killing him in an instant.

Arina was the kind of girls who didn't care about the consequences of anything.

Infact, they weren't here to negotiate in the first place.

If they left even a single witness behind, it would be a big problem for the Killers' Association. The enemies would use the information gained on how the Killers worked against the Killers. Thus, greatly diminishing the efficiency of the Association.

It wasn't that every raid was successful. There were failures quite often. But, the information from a few incidents wouldn't be enough to formulate a formidable stratergy.

The lips of the aliens instinctively curled up. While the humans seemed at a loss, for, they had lost a close friend to the invaders.

"Kill them all!"

And the fight broke out.

It would be quite disadvantageous to the squad fighting inside a tower due to restricted movement of assassins and lowered capability of magicians.

But, judging by the looks, no one seemed to care about it.

"Go, fight them!"

The Flame King burst out.

"Hey, but they are up there, I am not used to aerial combat."

"Huff!"

The Flame King spread out Fire Vines and tied them to Arman's body. Taking indirect control of Arman.

[Activate skill: ]

Arman issued a command.

[Skill activated successfully.]

The Flame King made Arman squat down, getting into position. He then created a burst of mana underneath Arman's feet and blasted off the ground. Arman's body flew upwards with a great momentum.

Clang!

collided with the edge of a sword of an alien who was by the corner of wall. Both Arman and the alien targeted by Arman felt a shock.

The wrist seemed to have sustained some injuries.

The Flame King pulled the Vines making Arman pressed onto the .

This created a recoil of force and then Arman kicked off the walls of the tower. This generated enough force to widen the gap between the alien and Arman.

The Flame King twisted the Vines so that Arman's hand moved and stabbed into the wall into which Arman had bumped, hanging by the dagger.

He then twisted the wrist and jumped up.

The moved forward as Arman extended his arm. The extending of Arm was an action Arman did on his own.

The alien hadn't expected the attack, so the dagger pierced straight through the chest of the alien.

'Keuk'

This alien had red blood, which was something that Arman hadn't expected.

Ofcourse, there were big differences in human blood and the blood of this alien. The texture alone was enough to differentiate between the two samples of blood.

Arman brought down the sword which was in his other hand and cut the head of the alien.

[You have slain an Unknown Creature.]

[You have gained XP (10000)]

"Unknown Creature?"

This was the first time Arman was experiencing such a thing.

But he wasn't given time to think.

Another of the enemies, this time a human, landed a blow on Arman from up above.

Cough!

Arman stumbled and fell down to the ground.

It was thanks to the skill, that Arman was still in a good shape. Atleast that was what Arman was thinking. The muscles at Arman's back had been mislocated slightly.

Though this wasn't a very serious injury, it would momentarily disable him.

The enemy jumped down and pounced on Arman to deal the finishing blow.

"Quick, use summon!"

[Activate skill: Summon]

[You have successfully summoned Fire Bot 14]

The Fire Bot appeared out of a portal and abruptly extended its arm above its head.

The fist hit the human who was still mid-air

Though not fatal, the punch was enough to offset the enemy.

The Fire Bot then quickly held Arman in its arms and headed straight towards the healers.

The Fire Bot placed Arman on the ground and disappeared, going back to the world where it had come from.

The healers were surprised. They hadn't seen a summon in their entire life which was so intelligent and obidient at the same time.

"Whose summon is it?"

Asked one healer Verene, to another healer Hiroto who was sitting idle, as not many were injured.

"Dunno."

Arman's injuries not being too severe, were healed easily, taking almost no time.

"Thanks."

Arman bowed down to show his courtesy and ran back into the tower.

*****

Arina swinged the hammer in her left hand in the anti-clockwise direction and three aliens were squashed like bugs.

Then, the right hand extended forward and two more were killed.

By now, it was clear that whoever would confront Arina, would face a certain death.

So, there were only a few who took the initiative to fight Arina.

But this didn't save the enemies.

Arina was so agile that not a single person present over here could escape from her grasp.

Arina alone was strong enough to face all the enemies present.

The one sided massacre continued.
