On my second day, I had my breakfast alone. I was told to cook lunch and clean the house. So, I started cleaning the house. I found out they had two bedrooms only. where did Ryan's mother and sisters sleep, all in one room this thought was going through my mind. I completed cleaning and walked towards the kitchen and I saw my mother in law walking towards me ' Start preparing lunch what are you looking at, you are very slow' then she walked back. I started my chore and didn't know where Ryan was. I was exhausted after all the cleaning and preparing lunch I just went to call them for lunch and I found all four of them including my husband was sitting on the sofa and were talking and laughing as soon as I entered they stopped and looked at me. My mother in law said' what is it that you want' I then paused looked at Ryan he was not even looking at me then I looked at my mother in law and replied ' lunch is ready and I got a sharp reply' So what it's your duty, we will come now keep it ready on the table.' and gave me sharp look. I turned back towards the kitchen kept the lunch arranged on the dining table. They all entered together I served them food and was waiting to be asked to sit with them but no one bothered they all started having their food and in between, they even asked me to serve. Later when they all left I sat alone again. Why are they treating me like this? I was shocked by their behaviour and then I heard the doorbell. And I went out to open the door and saw my parents smiling face oh my God that was God sent. I hugged them both. My mother in law came out and saw my parents. She did not very happily greet them. She said ' What you miss her already or are you here to see if we are harassing her.' My mother looked at my dad and then she suddenly changed the subject ' We came to invite you to our wedding anniversary which is tomorrow and we want you all to come. I remembered it's my parent's anniversary every year, We use to have a grand outing and party on that day. I heard my mother in law' We don't attend parties and we don't think we can come'. My father then stepped in ' Ok then let Ryan and Ria come'. My mother -in law's face turned red but then looked at Ryan who just entered & changed her voice ' Ok Ryan is here you ask him yourself'. Ryan sat next to his mother. My dad said ' Ryan it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow we are here to invite you and your family but your mum said she won't be able to make it. Hope you and Ria can come.' Ryan looked at his mother' Ok we will come'. My mother's face brightened up. I was very happy too.. And I got up ' Mom I will bring tea for you' My mom said ' No dear we have to go home we have lots to do for tomorrow.' I was going to reply and my mother in law interrupted me ' Ya you can go, you are going to be so busy for the function Ryan will come tomorrow ' Again I saw my parents face they stood and I went near them. They hugged me my tears were almost near my eyes but I had to show them that I was very happy. So I smiled. And they left. I closed the door and saw my mother in laws reddened face she shouted at my husband ' why did you agreed to go' Ryan gave a sharp reply' oh don't be dramatic mom you know I love parties, and after the wedding, this will be my first party so let's not talk about it any further' He immediately left the room. My mother in law looked at me ' what did you do to my son, he never speaks to me. like this, it's only one day and you started separating us.' I was shocked didn't know what to do or say. I was still standing there thinking what to say and saw my mother in law left the room angrily.
After serving them all dinner I had mine. cleaned the kitchen and walked towards my room.My husband was busy in his computer and didn't even notice I entered the room. I went and sat on the bed and I asked him ' Can we go a little early tomorrow for the party' He didn't even look up to reply ' No I will be busy till 6 and they asked us to be there at 7 so we will go at 6:30' I again asked him ' Can I go alone first you can come later at 6:30.' He then looked up from his laptop ' You are very eager to go home what's it' I replied slowly ' I can help them for the party' He looked sharply and then said ' ok you go' and again looked into his computer. I was happy inside but didn't want him to know.. He kept his laptop on the study table and walked towards me looking at me sighing he said' you are not bad to look at instead you are beautiful' And he came closer I was a little frightened. I closed my eyes as I did on. my first night.
