She told me: It is a very difficult question to answer. By the way, how did you ask yourself that?
That is why I started to tell her how I was wondering that:
- "You see," I said to her, "it all started when I was in kindergarten." The truth is that she was alone in that place, with no friends, no one to talk to. Until a girl came along, who, like me, was very shy. Her name was Fabiana. At first I didn't talk to her, but when the other kids teased her, I got between them and said: Why are you doing that? What did she do for you to do this? But, unsurprisingly, they stopped only to start teasing me.
Later, when they left, she thanked me for what I had done.
And then she introduced herself to me. And then I to her. And in that way, we become best friends. And we had promised each other that we would never part.
But unfortunately that separation came when we entered primary school, but in different schools.
That day was one of the saddest days of my life, because from that moment on, I never knew what happened to her.
Then time passed, I completed elementary school, but without having friends, because no one wanted to be.
I got into highscool. I still had no friends, until in 2nd grade, I met a girl but online while I was playing a video game.
We became good friends, and then she considered me the best friend of hers, because I helped her with the personal and family problems that she had.
We got to know each other pretty well. But everything would fall apart on my birthday.
That day, she promised to play all night. And I wanted to confess how I felt about her. On that morning, I woke up very happy, because I believed it would be the best day of all. I wish someone had told me it wouldn't be like that. It turns out that just as I finished my breakfast, I received a call from an unknown number.
I said to myself: How strange, I did not give a stranger my cell phone number.
I answered the call, and asked:
- Hello?
- Hello, my name is Gustavo - he answered me - I am Javiera's lover.
I was shocked. Javiera was my best friend, and she told me all her secrets and problems, but she never told me that she had someone more special. I had lived cheating.
- "I just wanted to call you to wish you a happy birthday with all your loved ones," he told me.
- Thank ... thank you - was the only thing I could say and I hung up the call.
I felt devastated, as if I had lost someone very special to me. I fell to my knees and cried. I couldn't believe what I had heard. That was a sad birthday, I wanted to cry all day. I didn't play with her that day. I deleted her from my contacts. That day, I might not celebrate my birthday. I wanted this to be a simple nightmare, but sadly it wasn't. It was a sad reality.
