"You weren't meant to treat him that way, it's not what he deserves".
"I know, it's just that he has this thing going on in his head and I can't help him curb his fantasies any more than he can".
"Trust me Gaby, he is doing his possible best. If only you were in his shoes, you'd understand better. He doesn't need to be embarrassed, he needs to be understood, didn't you say he has a purpose?". asked Angelica
"Yeah, I doubt it has something to do with working in a breakfast shop".
"Look can you help him or not? Because I clearly saw the lady he claimed to have fought with, I gave her a cup of coffee and she left, the next thing I saw was Davis falling down from the sky, and he never made a move when he was beside me".
Gaby took a deep breath and exhaled further with his hands akimbo before answering after some seconds of deep thoughts.
"The thing is, I felt him. It was all part of the prophecy".
"Oh, so there's a prophecy involved of which you clearly hid from me all this while". She said while folding her arms.
"Angie, I never knew it was going to happen anytime soon but it did. I'm just a librarian and believe it or not, I guard the hidden books written by librarians centuries before my existence, everything gets much more complex than it already is".
"So what's the plan?"
"We have to see what happened and in order to know what happened, we'd have to trace his origin".
"But we don't know anything about his origin".
"My point exactly, we don't know his parents or his relative and that's why tracing his origin is going to be really hard".
"So where do you think we should start?" asked Angie looking at Gaby who at this point was left with no option, until he gave a look like he had it all planned out.
"We both go to the home of omens".

"Wake up", I heard a voice call out which sounded more like an echo. My eyes slowly opened and I saw the blurry images of the room in front of me. I sat up right and wiped my eyes with my right hand, and just then, I saw Howard sitting right in front of me.
"What happened?" I asked before wincing at the pain I felt at my diaphragm.
"I guess we started off on wrong terms, how about you tell me how grateful you are for me saving your life".
"So, you still think your grey beards never runs out of wisdom?".
"Never!" he responded winking at me, and this felt weird.
"That guy stabbed me." I uttered
"And that's exactly what happened". said Howard.
"My goodness, I really don't know if I'm on a hangover from last night or I'm trying to recuperate from all the drama with Gabby".
"What happened with Gaby?" He asked grimacing at my edges.
"It was my first day at work, and this lady came by and asked for a cup of coffee. She looked harmless at first but pretty hot, she wore a black robe and covered her head with a round dark hat".
"And what did she do precisely?" Howard asked looking a bit enthusiastic about the whole story.
"She picked up a fight with Angelica and I tried saving her but I ended up embarrassing myself. It turned out to be that nothing ever happened, so I got fired".
"What else do you know about this woman?". He asked
"I saw her vanish right after a bus passed through and I came straight to the bar".
"And how long did you spend in the bar?".
"Almost six hours, I guess. What's wrong? Seems like you know stuff".
"Oh I do know stuff, I just need you to be careful", he said striking his hand through my hair. Deep down in me I knew this was really not going the right way.
"I'm sorry, are you Howard?" I asked.
"Well the old man in the long beard can never lie about his identity". He clarified.
"So what's up with the new attitude?".
"You see, a long time ago, there were creatures called satyrs and they were really deadly. They are wild drunkards and can harm anyone who comes their way in their drunken dilemma though they seem to answer from a higher power".
"So what you're trying to say is that the person who stabbed me in my diaphragm is a satyr?" I asked
"Yes, he is, I saw them come out from the pentagram with my own eyes Davis, but that's not all. They got access to the human world due to the sacrifice of a non human person".
"And who is that" I asked adjusting my posture on the bed the more.
"The lady you saw at the shop. Her name is Ryoko".
"You mean Angie's mom or Angie?" I clearly pointed out and somehow, he looked a bit surprised that I knew.
"Yes, Angie's mother, but believe me we need her more than anyone else".
"Why? She tried to kill me", I protested.
"Believe me she didn't do it in her own will, she's caged just like I am, but trust me she's here for good".
"She tried to kill me in her hot disguise, don't you think she's part of the fallen?"
"You've had connections with her, trust me, she still has a spot for you. I'm sure her excuse will be that she was trying to see if you're prepared, but indeed you are. We need you more alongside all the chosen".
"Why, to defeat the satyrs?"
"There's a much greater evil than the satyrs, they're just a distraction. Atë on the other hand is whom we should all be scared of for now, and that's why we need Ryoko".
"What's her purpose?" I inquired.
"She can get us to Atë's biggest fear, Morta".
"And who is she supposed to be?".
"She's the keeper of all Pluto's hostages, and the goddess of death".
