Tanner was on his computer just like always. Even on his birthday he was determined to give his readers the best ending he possibly could for his novel.

He had been writing his novel 'Battle Of The Omnipowers' for the past 8 Years and on his 9,000 chapter he was ending his story at the 'Tower Of Rest' Arc.

Tanner was typing on his keyboard when he heard his Mother, Father, And Sister Yelling In shock in the living room. He quickly put on his shoes and ran into the living room expecting an intruder.

"Mom! Dad! Are you guys okay!?" Tanner yelled while he opened his door.

To his surprise his parents were watching the TV with a very scared expression.

Tanner listened to what the TV was saying and a wave of Nostalgia hit him.

"Everyone please stay bunkered down the world is in a state of emergency. Life threatening catastrophes are occurring all over the world with varying problems. Please stay calm until we report further, stay strong and stay calm"

Tanners parents all huddled on the couch and said "Tanner we need to pray, The end times are coming."

Tanner who didn't really believe in god was also in shock but not because of the same reasons.

'What The Fuck!!! Isn't this the opening to my novel *Battle Of The Omnipowers*'

'If that's true then I need to get my family out of this area, and the only way to convince them is for phase one to start!'

"Mom, Dad, get Leah and get to the car we need to evacuate asap"

His parents didn't believe him like most parents would do in this situation and questioned him.

"What? Didn't you hear what he just said we should stay here" said Tanner's father.

"Dad I just saw online that their is a missile strike inbound right to where we live!"

Tanner's father and mother were completely shocked by the revelation and for once listened to Tanner.

'At least I can get them to move this way.'

Tanner grabbed his solar charger and his phone and went to the car with the rest of his family.

They got in the car and Tanner backseat drived and said to his dad "Dad, the safest place to go now is Zhengzhou"

Tanner's father was still too scared to rationally think and followed his sons directions to Zhengzhou

All the meanwhile Tanner used his phone to share the current news with his parents.

Earlier when Tanner got his parents to leave he half lied. A missile wasn't inbound, but there was the first impact probe which would have blown the whole area into oblivion.

In a few minutes the First flood will hit and everyone will have a chance to contract one of the outer entities.

The First Flood is what introduces Materia into the world, Materia is the particles which ignite special powers.

Depending on the culture or kind of entity you have contracted you get different powers from the Materia. Powers like Magic, Cultivation, Elements, Death, Life, Superpower, And so on.

As they were driving everyone 's ears started ringing very quietly almost to the point that no one could hear it. But this was what Tanner was waiting for.

Tanner Reached over his dad's shoulder and swerved to the side of the road making his dad slam on the breaks.

"TANNER WHAT THE FU-"

In a Instant the entire world's air was gone and everyone in the world suffered severe pain in their Stomach as something new was developing inside them.

It was good nobody could scream since the whole world would just be screaming.

Tanner was trying his best to hold on while comforting his mother and sister.

After around 17seconds of excruciating pain everyone on earth finished developing the

'Materia Influx Gate' They could finally breathe the Materia instead of air.

*Cough Cough*

All of Tanner's family was coughing up after all the things they had experienced.

Before Tanner's dad could yell at him for jerking the car he said "Dad are you okay!? I had to jerk the car so we didn't crash."

"Damn Tanner before you do something like that tell me before hand I'll believe you next time."

Tanner's dad was thankful but didn't want to show it. (Tsundere)

'Hello Mortal's'

Tanner's family looked around confused as to who was speaking.

'Choose'

After the voice finished speaking a Hologram Tab appeared before everyone still living.

Their were the list of 'Entities' That were willing to be contracted by others.

The Contracting System is pretty simple so I will explain it now.

The Contracting System was made by Entities that helped them choose a Human to link with, There were many functions for the Entities, the Contracting System could select based off of Compatibility, Personality, Or a god could directly choose someone who they liked to contract with, Humans only saw the list of gods they could contract with.

'My first obligation will be to help my family with learning about their contracts. Then I will go personally choose a 'special' Contract where I can be Master.'

"What the hell is this?" Said Tanner's Dad.

"Dad on the top right there is instructions, we need to pick out contracts with these people to be able to survive against the apocalypses."

I let my family choose their Contractor since I couldn't help them choose anyway...
