***In a hospital in New Orleans***
"Push Mrs. Michaels, push" the doctor yelled urging Rachel to push "Aghhhhh!!!" Rachel screamed in pain trying to bring forth her baby "You're almost there" said the doctor encouraging Rachel "Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!" Rachel screamed even louder, then soon the cry of a baby was heard, and Rachel fell unconscious. That baby was me Vanessa Michaels, when I was born, I had a mark on my left upper arm which was in the shape of a crescent Moon, an deep brown colored eyes and long straight Raven black hair, which I got from my mom. Three years after I was born, my father died in a car accident. It left my Mom in absolute despair, but she had to be strong for herself and her children which was me and my elder brother Joshua.
When I was eight years old I started reading about werewolves and vampires, but what interested me the most was werewolves and how they got their powers after they kill someone.
***Nine years later***
"Vanessa!!!", My mom called as soon as she entered the house disturbing me from my novel, it was about werewolves. "Yes, mom" I couldn't help but feel annoyed. As I walked down the stairs looking for my mom, my elder brother came into the house "Hey Pumpkin, why are you home early" Joshua asked softly, while walking towards the stairs "While I finished my exams early, so I came home".
"Hmmmm".
"What?"
"Are you sure you didn't get into any trouble?" Josh asked while putting his hands on his waist, "When have I ever gotten into trouble?" I asked rolling my eyes which in turn made both of us laugh. "Why are you both laughing? Hope you two are not planning any mischief?" My mom said smiling, Josh and I starred at each other before laughing out loud "We should be asking you, why are you covered in flour?" Josh asked fighting back his laughter, "I was going to make some pancakes and eggs, but look what happened" she answered irritated, Josh and I looked at each other before we laughed so hard that tears came out of our eyes.
"Laugh all you want" mom said pouting like a child "by the way Pumpkin I need you to go to the grocery store" mom said after pouting "But mom I don't want to go, why can't Joshua go?" I asked feeling cheated "Because Joshua wouldn't come home when he sees the store girl" mom answered looking at Josh who rolled his eyes "Fine I'll go, but let me grab my jacket" I said running up the stairs. Few minutes later I came down and was ready to go, "Mom!!! I'm ready" I said informing my mom "Okay, the money is on the table. And you better be back soon!!!" Mom yelled from the kitchen. I left the house and on my way to the store I bumped into Mr. Johnson, my boyfriend's grandpa. "Hi Mr. Johnson" I greeted him with a big smile on my face "Hey Pumpkin, you're just the person I was looking for" Mr. Johnson said returning the same smile "Why? Sir, did something happen to Allan?" I asked quickly in panic " No no no, nothing happened to Allan, I just needed your help you know" he said feeling nervous "Is there a problem Mr. Johnson?" I asked feeling worried "Well the thing is, I accidentally ruined my wife's favourite painting and I need you to help me fix it before she gets back" he said while looking at the ground "No worries Sir I'll just go to the grocery store first then I'll head over to your house" I said smiling "No!! She'll be back soon and I don't want her to get angry" he said almost in tears "But Mr. Johnson my mom..." I couldn't finish cause he interrupted me "Please Vanessa" as I couldn't help seeing him beg I agreed.
When we arrived at his house he rushed up the stairs to get the painting while I waited in the family room. "Vanessa!!!!" Someone called my name and when I turned around, a big smile came upon my face.
