Mahi is seen running through the corridor to the training grounds with a sword in his hand.
In the morning.
" Prince Mahi your father is waiting for you at the training grounds. You need to go there. And take this sword , it is a present from me", Chanakya told him as he took a small sword from his storage device which he had asked the palace blacksmith to do.
Mahi took the sword swinging around , " Thank you Uncle".
He ran away happily through the door.
Chanakya followed him slowly.
The people even though awakened abilities still practiced combat techniques with weapons, hands.
Because in a fight between a ability user using combat techniques against just a ability user. The higher probability goes to the first one because he can either gain upper hand or make up to his drawbacks in the fight. So combat techniques had kind of become a compulsory teaching for everyone.

Maurya was standing alone in the training grounds. He had made everyone present there go outside for the morning.
Maurya was busy these previous days as he had some matters related to the war which required his opinion.
And since Mahi was mentally affected by the elf teacher he didn't rush it.
Now finally he would decide how to approach with Mahi.
' The fortune of Mahi is really tricky. ' he thought while remembering what Ranga had said
"a blank sheet and a pen
It means as long he desires something from the depths of his heart he will achieve it no matter what he is against. If he desires to kill a god from his depth of heart he will become a god slayer .
Or
If he desires to live in peace from his depths of heart he will have a peaceful life even if the world goes against him.
It all comes down to his desire"
' It is a blessing and curse. If he desires war I can handle things smoothly with him.
But if he doesn't things might get rough' he thought having a frown over his head.
" Father I'm here" , Mahi entered shouting in excitement holding a sword.
Maurya always ignored him and they had less interaction with each other alone. And this time he personally wanted to teach him, this made Mahi really happy
" Mahi you want to learn sword techniques. Do some basic moves I'll correct you if you do wrong" Maurya said seeing sword in Mahi's hand.
Mahi started repeatedly doing swings.
Seeing Mahi immersed Maurya felt happy imagining the future.
' I should have talked with him these previous years. From now on I will talk with him more '
Maurya ignored him because whenever Mahi came front of him, he just wanted to forcefully awaken his ability.
Now that Mahi has awakened he wanted to progress things steadily.
" Mahi now focus on this move " Maurya started teaching Mahi.

The same continued for next few days.
Maurya used this opportunity to get close to Mahi. He wanted to know more about him. Mahi too slowly opened to him.
" Mahi what do you want to become in your life" Maurya asked after Mahi finished his lesson
" I want to go to academy when I grow up. I'll awaken something better than Ruhi" Mahi said comfortably to Maurya without any formalities.
" Don't you want to become a king who rules. If you become strong everyone around you will respect you." Maurya started to brainwash Mahi.
Maurya had even made Maya always tell him bed stories of war, blood, power to Mahi to make him like it.
" I will think about it when I grow up" Mahi said in a slow tone because for now he only wanted to go to academy and go travelling like Maya. As she told him stories of her seeing different places.
Mahi liked the stories of Maya traveling than her stories of blood and war.
Hearing this Maurya got irritated.
He kept saying the same things to force Mahi to say yes.
" I will think about it in the future" the same answer came out of Mahi everytime.
Mahi got irritated from Maurya saying the same thing over and over these days.
This happened numerous times.
Finally Maurya realized that he can't force his ideals into him.
But if Mahi does not like war now he can never grow to be the strongest.
Actually Maurya knew his ability is strong, but there were stronger abilities than him. Still he was the strongest because he had flown blood like river of others.
' I didn't want to go with the second option' Maurya said angrily in his mind.
Mahi was about to leave as he had finished that day's training.
Maurya took out the elf teacher corpse from his storage ring.
" Mahi you killed this elf. Why did you kill it?" Maurya shouted this words at Mahi.
Mahi seeing the corpse, the incident which he had forgotten was forcefully being remembered by him.
All the scenes came to his mind that happened.
The same severe headache started in his head blaming him for killing. Mahi shouted and shouted
" Take it away , Take it away. I didn't kill it. My head hurts" smashing his head to the ground to stop the headache.
Maurya kept smiling seeing Mahi and raised his voice more "Remember Mahi you killed this elf , you are a killer Mahi. I don't want to call you my son"
" Nooo , STOP IT " Mahi clenched his teeth to bear the pain inside his head.
The aura emitted out of his body.
A small chain materlized outside wrapping around his arm.
After feeling the chain wrapping around him Mahi started to resist the pain.
Maurya felt disgusted seeing that Mahi's chain having a weak will instead of fighting , it went to console him. Maurya used his ability and chains appeared.
The chains were a group of three seperate chain. They were as big as handful. Mahi's chain was like a needle compared to it.
Maurya ordered it to destroy Mahi's chain. Maurya's chains turned around to confirm again what he told because his chains felt a familiar feeling from the small chain. But still Maurya nodded.
Maurya's chains sped up reaching Mahi in a second and then went straight to his hand. It pulled the small chain like a paper from Mahi's hand.
Maurya's chains crushed it, hitting it one after other reducing it to peices. The small chain kept getting back to it's form using Mahi's aura. But was just crushed into pieces again and again.
Mahi seeing his friend getting beaten felt even more pain in his head.
Maurya never harmed Mahi physically but just kept hurting him mentally. Maurya wanted Mahi to hate him , if it meant he would get stronger.
Mahi witnessing everything was reaching his limit and was starting to have thoughts what Maurya wanted. At this moment the spiritual chains grew on his heart binding it completely. The pain went null in his mind. He became completely silent staring at his friend getting crushed.
He was so calm now , he focused on things surrounding him more clearly.
He glanced around Maurya , his chains and elf corpse.
Maurya was dumbfounded seeing things which were going in right direction had made a U-turn.
" Father I killed the teacher because he wanted to kill me. That's it." Mahi said in a monotonous voice lying on the ground.
Even before Maurya could digest what he said another blow came to him.
" I don't like killing and neither want to be a powerful king", Mahi said in the same monotonous voice again.
His mind was thinking why this incident happened suddenly from Maurya, it came with only answer on how Maurya was forcibly telling him about being a king who rules.
Maurya felt his soul fly away for a moment when he heard this. He was so shocked to hear the opposite of what he wanted Mahi to like.
He regained his thoughts and got serious, " You are born as royalty, and you have to fulfill it's duties. I am very disappointed. You will go to the border camp and learn there. "
" No, I want to go to academy" Mahi confronted
Maurya got enraged " In the name of the pact I order you to go to the border camp and stay there till I say"
The marks on both of their backs burned brightly.
" Noo" As Mahi wanted to resist, the will of the hell and heaven acted on him, as he was opposing the order.
Sparks were seen on his body as Mahi fell straight on the ground unconscious.
Maurya crushed the small chain which came back to it's form under his foot ,turned back and walked out. Chanakya opened the door to let him out.
" My king although we knew he would resist you sometime in the future , he is resisting you, way too early. " Chanakya said as Maurya passed him
Maurya calmed down a bit, " He even goes against me.Now I like him even more. I don't care if he goes against the world, but going against me is going to be a hefty price for him to pay. Don't heal him and put him inside the carriage tomorrow morning , we'll leave to the border camp."
Chanakya picked the unconscious Mahi and went straight to his bed.
He sat beside him and took a healing potion out of his storage ring.
He poured it inside Mahi's mouth.
" If you don't resist Maurya you'll become a tamed lion.
But if you resist him you'll just feel more pain.
In midst of that , your desire becomes a game-changer.
As you grow up what is that you will desire. Even I'm curious.
Hahaha It's quite a mess and that too a beautiful one."
