It was lunch time and I was stuck with the new boy "Let's make this quick Mr. Cross" I said as I lead the way "Gerald"
"What?"
"You can call me Gerald" he said smiling at me "Okay Gerald I am Ruth, Ruth Walker" I said smiling.
"And that's the cafeteria, the storage room, the theatre..."
"OMG the theatre Troy is waiting there" I mumbled but it was enough for him to hear "Is that why you refused to give me a tour?" he's voice sounded bringing me back to reality "What?" I asked "Umm sorry I zoned off, what were you saying?" I asked a little embarrassed "It's nothing, I just wanted to see the theatre" he answered walking towards the theatre "Oh, but why?" I asked confused then he turned back and said "I just feel like it" a frown appeared on my face "While you can see the theatre another day, but now I have a tour to complete as soon as possible" I said starring intensely at him "Well I believe showing me the theatre is also part of the tour, or am I wrong?" he said smiling "Argh!!!, you're so annoying" I said as I walked past him into the theatre.
When we entered the theatre, it was empty "This is the theatre and it's empty, happy now?" I asked a little disappointed because Troy wasn't there. As we turned to leave the theatre, someone called my name "Ruth!!" I turned back and smiled for ear to ear making my cheeks burn and my heart beat accelerate "I thought you wouldn't show up" Troy said when he was in front of me "Umm, I umm, I had tour give Mr Cross hear a tour" I stammered
"Oh I see" he said nodding his head, then Gerald stepped forward and stretched his hand towards Troy and said "I'm Gerald Cross, nice to meet you" Troy starred at him for a while before shaking his hand "Troy, Troy Peterson".
They both starred at each other for a long time before letting go of each other's hands. Troy then turned to me and smiled " Can we talk in private?" he asked as her starred at Gerald "Ah, sure I'll just go over there" he said pointing to stage then he walked away. Troy smiled at me again which in turn made me blush "I wanted us to be alone but this will do" he said opening a conversation, I smiled back and nodded "Me too" I said looking down, then he moved a bit closer to me and raised my face up before putting a loose strand of my hair behind my ear "You look more beautiful when you blush" he said as he starred straight into my eyes "Umm, t..thank you" I stammered as I got lost in his hazel coloured eyes. We unconsciously move closer to each other slowly closing the space in between us 'This is it he's going to take my first kiss' I thought as we moved even closer to each other.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!" Gerald screamed getting our attention "What happened?" I asked as I ran towards the stage as Troy followed behind "Ah, I'm sorry I thought I saw a snake over there but it turned out to be a cable" he say as he scratched the back of his head smiling sheepishly.
"How can a snake be in the school?" I asked angrily at his stupid excuse.
"Don't blame me, I don't like snakes Okay?"
"I don't think anyone likes them either" said Troy in a sarcastic manner.
Shortly after the bell rang indicating that the break was over.
I said goodbye to Troy and left the theatre with Gerald following behind.
"We can continue the tour tomorrow right?" He asked as if he had done nothing wrong, I stopped and turn to look at him "This will be the last time we ever speak to each other, stay the f*cking hell away from me you get it" as I was done and about to leave he grabbed my hand and said "Miss Tatiana won't be happy to know that you didn't do your job well" an evil smirk evident on his face.
"Get your hands off me" I struggled to break free from his hold. He let me go as he walked passed me, I couldn't help but ask "Who the hell do you think you are to threaten me, huh?" I ask annoyed by his words. He stopped walking and without turning back he said "I am Gerald Cross" then he walked away.
