On their way back Prudence dared not speak a word. After a while Vincent had got down as he had to be somewhere. Prudence had come back to the manor with her mind floating in the cloud of embarrassment. The excitement towards the race had died down and everything else was out of her thoughts. She had simply went to the dining hall and had her lunch.
Without Vincent here, Prudence was careful not to sit at the small table kept over the platform.
It was for the royal family and even Lord Drakos did not sit there. While she was just starting the main course, Drakos entered the dining hall. The sound of boots clicking against the ground had Prudence alert. She immediately turned to the door only to find Drakos enter. He looked way better than what she had seen of in the morning.
"Lady Prudence," Drakos greeted with a gentle bow.
