Prudence looked at Vincent, shocked. She had not realised she almost called him by his name. It was the closest call to death she had to date. "I said His Grace," Prudence lie straight through her teeth. She did not want to check how true it was that Vincent would behead someone who referred to him by his name.
Vincent squinted at her with a smirk he suppressed.
Daisy huffed while clicking her hooves. Vincent turned back to the mare, leaving Prudence alone. He gently rubbed Daisy's jaw. Prudence almost had a heart attack from the way Vincent had turned to ask what she had called her. It was simply her concern that poured out. However, now she regretted it. He could almost definitely take care of himself. There was no reason for her to worry. But the more shocking thing for her was how Daisy calmed down to his touch.
She shook her head to disapprove of him but not exactly get aggressive about it. Daisy had not done this with Abiona.
