Yuichi was really depressed about going to school today. Because the popular girl, Miyo, was transferring to another school. Yuichi saw Miyo beating a middle schooler a few weeks earlier. "You won't tell anybody, right Yuichi?"
This is the only time he will mention it, Yuichi has a crush on Miyo. After that incident, Miyo started to talk to Yuichi more. Yuichi was really happy about that. But now that she is gone, Yuichi feels extremely lonely.
At lunch time, some of Yuichi's friends gathered around his table and started chit-chatting.
"Do you guys know what love is?" asked Midori.
"Isn't that the thing when a boy and a girl like each other and do fun things everyday?" replied Komatsu.
Yuichi was shocked! He thought that maybe his relationship with Miyo was love. Because they both liked each other. But then he got extremely depressed again thinking that Miyo wasn't here anymore.
The day after Miyo transferred a new girl transferred to our school. "My name is. Yui Tanaka. Nice to meet you." she introduced herself.
It was Yuichi's love at first sight.
The teacher asked all of us to write an essay on what we want to do when we grow up and as the class was about to end, it was our homework. The teacher said, "If you don't do your homework I am going to throw you from the fifth floor".
Everyone knew it was a joke because it was written in his report that he has autistic impulses but he can teach.
Yuichi followed Yui after school. Yui somehow knew Yuichi was following him and caught him. Yuichi was flustered. He didn't knew what to say.
"Did you complete the essay that the teacher gave us? To write about what we wanted to become when we grow up." said Yui.
Yuichi nodded.
"I wrote that I wanted to be an actress and become famous." said Yui.
Yuichi was surprised.
"Did you know that in a few years we have to move to another planet as the earth will become inhabitable and everyone will die if they keep living here?" asked Yui.
Yuichi was surprised again and he nodded. Yui said that her father was trying her best to do his duties properly so that they can move to a different planet.
Yuichi continued walking with Yui even though his house was on a completely different path. Yui went to her house and Yuichi was so far away from his house.
He later realized that he was lost.
