The higher ups of the Holy Creek Sect were experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions. When the cripple started killing Blood Cleansing Realm cultivators as though he was cutting grass, they had been immensely worried. So when the Half-Step Bone Forging Realm Elder had gone out to confront him, they had felt a sense of relief wash over them.
But of course, that relief didn't last for much longer. Breaking all conventions and thwarting all of their perceptions of reality, the cripple had somehow killed the elder and came out on top. Naturally, this caused the worry to re-emerge once more.
Two more elders moved forward to remove this worry, both true Bone Forging Realm cultivators. There was possibly no way they could have failed. Warriors of their calibre losing to a cripple was so far out of the realm of feasibility that their hearts fully rested once more.
