Without missing a single beat, Yun Lei fired 3 arrows in rapid succession. Now that his aim had been calibrated to deal with the fast grey bats, he didn't miss a single shot. However, before he could shoot a fourth arrow, the bats had already come close enough to be a problem.
Feeling that he had no other options, Yun Lei struck one of the bats with his bare fist, successfully injuring it to the point that it would no longer be a threat. However, while he was distracted with one bat, the other had grabbed an opportunity and attacked, sinking its fangs deep into his forearm.
"Fuck off!" Yun Lei shouted in frustration before grabbing the small bat and trying to yank it off his arm. But with how tightly the creature's jaws were locked around his flesh, that was a laborious task. Eventually though, he managed to free himself and finally kill the bat. He also finished off the one he had previously incapacitated before he finally let his guard relax.
