The early rays of the sun broke through the canopy of the forest in a golden splendour. Most of it was caught by the leaves, leaving only a cool shade underneath. However, there was enough penetrating through to make Kwok awaken with a start.
"The fuck..." He mumbled, slowly picking himself up from the forest floor. He didn't remember how he had gotten there, but he vaguely remembered that he had started drinking while waiting for the rest of the hunters to make their way back. At some point, he had apparently fallen asleep.
"Ah, you fuckers. One of you could have at least dragged me back under my tent." He complained while stretching his body that seemed sore all over. However, as he was doing so, he noticed something weird: the camp was eerily silent.
