"Down!" Yun Lei said to the horses in a commanding tone. They had begun acting a little crazy after being spooked by a snake.
After travelling eastward from Nanju for a couple of days, they had already run out of paved roads. Having to contend with the untamed wilderness, wild animals and profound beasts had been a constant source of annoyance. It felt like they couldn't even travel for half an hour without encountering some sort of roadblock.
