Blood began pouring out of Yun Lei's orifices once more as he collapsed on one knee. Having run almost completely empty of soul energy, controlling his body was impossible. He was barely managing to hold on to his consciousness, but he didn't know how long he would last.
After the patriarch of the Holy Creek Sect took his final breath, his memories began flowing into Yun Lei's mind like a flood. Having lived for far longer than the elder, the headache caused by the patriarch's memories was on a whole another level. Compounding that with the pain he was already experiencing, even he himself was surprised that he hadn't passed out yet.
The patriarch's memories were far more numerous, however, the time Yun Lei had to "experience" them all was just the same as before. Because of this, instead of even being fragments, what was entering his head was a nauseating jumble of sights and sounds.
