Chapter 3 - feeling sick..

.

.

a few hours after they left i decided to emerge from my burrito roll and see if i could find my things.

I didn't have to look for long. they were all hung up and laid out to dry in the walk in closet attached to the back of the room.

"seriously this whole room and closet feel like two modern master bedrooms with full bath. not like those high end places but ya know."

I started talking to myself as if i had someone to listen to my sorrows.

"I could probably guess as to what she wants after what she asked me...and the vague clues... as long as she doesn't want me to die in her place..i guess i could help her out...this place is nice.."

It doesn't hurt to give it a try and start over. maybe change my style and be a goody two shoes...instead of a nobody outcast...that seems like she hates the world... sigh i thought to myself as i looked over the condition of my boots , shoes, dyes, and outfits...

"my accessories should be fine since they were in water proof bags...thank you ziplock freezer bags! and i won't forget you too miss lock and sealssss"

I said wiggling my head back and forth babying my stuff.

"guess I'll have to save you guys in storage after you dry off...i doubt they'll let me wear any of you my babies... (sigh) still...I wonder why.."

I thought to myself why summon someone so convenient...in books its never like that...maybe sometimes but we are practically the same person...if i were a little thinner and a little less curvy i would be her perfect replacement...

"ughhh what i wouldn't do for a cold soda right now....hold up...where are my snacks and drinks? ...ughhh forget it its probably all lost in the woods even if i had them, whats the point... I'd just get upset when its all gone and i can't get anymore of it."

I grabbed a simple but warm dress from the closet that looked a little similar in style to a dress from the 1800s early 1900s.

"I wish it wasn't so...puffed up.."

I braided back the left side of my hair and flipped it all to the other side.

i really liked to keep my hair to the right. it was comforting to know something still felt the same.

the dark grey dress highlighted my titanium dyed hair and dark root balayage.

There was still a little sun left when i managed to navigate myself out of that detached house i found myself in.

wow it was so pretty out. the sky had a purple glow almost like i was still dreaming. The home was pretty well hidden with lots of trees and flower bushes. oooh even some fruit trees and berries. yum!

I hopped all the way over to the strawberries super excited to get a whiff to see if they were even ripe.

"what are you saying?! you don't want to marry the lady?! then why are we here!?"

"ow! watch the eardrums!"

I yelled instinctively.

"oh shoot!"

I messed up! I screamed at myself internally as I heard stomping headed towards me.

I backed up a bit but decided to confront who ever came over.

why should i be scared. i was just minding my own business when they started yelling!

I crossed my arms and tried to look tough with my back lined up and my lips in a grumpy pout.

I felt like a entitled kitten picking a fight.

A large man walked out into the clearing where i was waiting. he didn't seem mad. but looked at me weird with a face that said 'I thought you'd run off'

"I'm not going to apologize." i said trying to keep my voice steady. I really want to puke...

i felt nauseous...and my legs still felt frozen and numb from the snow.

the man continued to study me as another smaller figure appeared behind him.

"How dare you ease drop into a private conversation!" the smaller figure hollered from behind.

"Excuse you! Care to repeat that?"

I said in the most confident voice i could muster against these strangers.

The large man pulled the figure out of sight and he told him something i couldn't even dream of hearing by how low it was. but the rumbling growl in his deep low voice surprised me.

It wasn't like the man was unattractive. he had several large scars an a few burn marks on the lower part of his cheek and forehead.

The more i looked at his figure the more i noticed. poor man...that must have hurt...

when he turned completely back at me his hair caught the purple hue of the sunset, his pale goldish greenish hair looked like mauve flames with flecks of gold and green.

"Wow... your hair is so pretty...can i touch it?"

my mouth spat out words before i could think straight. the man was practically a over a foot taller than me!

I panicked as he strolled over to me with a serious expression.

he looked me over cautiously.

I don't know what he was thinking but it looked like he was trying to figure what was different about me...or maybe... Centaurea?!

oh no could this be one of her guests?! oh shoot did i just cause trouble...

"Are you related to lady Centaurea?"

he asked eyes straining to tell who I was.

"Yes...I am.." I cleared my throat a bit and walked past him picking a deep red strawberry.

"I just came out of the little house over there to pick some strawberries..I wasn't feeling to well so...."

his face lit up as though he had a 'AH!' moment

he walked past me and and nodded my way before leaving dragging the small figure away from the garden side I was in.

"omg! I feel like chest is going to burst from all the anxiety...(blurrgh)"

I threw up.
