A few days later Shaun had made his way back to the apartment in Elvers. The past month with Jamie and Lucy had given time to think about his decisions. In retrospect, he had made his emotions cloud his judgement. Thus leading to some erratic decision making.
He wanted to hold the persons responsible for Old Fox's death accountable but Jamie was right. Currently, his pursuit of justice would only lead to someone he cared about getting hurt. He needed to grow, push his body to the limit and understand the full extent of his powers.
While on his bed, he took a small necklace from his pocket. Ever since receiving it and the book from Peter Jr it had never left his side. He took a closer look at the necklace. The chain was broken and the fastener at the back needed replacing. Its pendant was a small green stone, the kind he didn't know. Perhaps it had some value but he wouldn't sell it either way. It was something he planned to cherish until the day he died.
