Roger knew he was being trailed, but it was expected because Mink's was not the kind to leave a thing to chance. That experience was the most frightening he had ever endured in his life. Now he was sure they were planning to kill him and his wife. So joining forces with Shaun was the best thing he could have done.
He picked up a new phone that was bought by cash and had no traces back to him and called a number.
"They bought it, but I don't know about this because there is a big issue," he said to Shaun on the other line. Shaun could hear the panic in Roger's voice. He also had a new phone and was now in a motel.
"Calm down and tell me what happened?" asked Shaun. He knew there might be hiccups, so he wasn't too surprised by Roger's comment. Once it wasn't significant, they would find a means to handle it.
