"Are you ok?" asked Nick as he helped take up the roses. Seeing the Hartford green jacket, the woman's eyes lit up.
"Don't worry about me, son. I'm quite fine. It will take more than that to keep these old bones down. I should have looked before crossing the road."
She then took out one of her roses. "Take this as my gesture of thanks. When you feel in need, make a wish and see it fulfilled."
Nick, of course, thought the woman perhaps had knocked her head and began to worry. He didn't have insurance because the moval vehicle was a rental. He seriously began to worry, what if this woman came to her senses and sued. He is already broke as it is; this was not good.
Still, he knew he needed to do the right thing, so he got ready to put the woman in the truck and take her to the hospital. He hurried to get the passenger seat door opened, but when he returned to the spot, the woman had vanished, and only the single rose appeared.
