Chapter 5 - ''sorry''

''Oh my god Zelda, how did you do that?'' Nichole enunciated in awe.

Levi rolled his eyes, ''What do you mean by that? Stop popping your eyes out like that,''

Levi spoke as he ruffled Nicole's hair.

''Hey! don't do that!'' Nicole huffed at Levi.

''I will, What are you gonna do, shorty?'' Levi teased Nicole.

Nicole's cheeks turned red.

Watching their banter Zelda wished to have siblings.

''Ahh! Nicole can you lend me the notes which were taken last week, I need to cope up with my studies,'' Zelda asked politely wishing that the siblings would stop their fight.

Nicole smiled brightly, ''Of course, why not?''

Levi sighed exasperatedly, ''You guys make notes? so boring...''

Nicole's mouth hung open as she spoke, ''Levi! you don't make notes? What about maths?''

''Maths is my major subject obviously I do that, but no other subjects,'' Levi spoke as if it was a common thing to do.

''I am gonna tell this to dad,'' Nicole spoke and Levi just raised his eyebrows.

''Ok, Go do as you wish, as if I care,'' Levi replied.

Nicole pouted.

Zelda pinched Nicole's cheeks as she chuckled.

Soon a song started playing in the cafeteria.

Zelda had never heard this song before, ''What's this song's name?'' she asked curiously.

''Dark Life,'' Rose replied.

As Zelda heard the singer's voice she was stunned, the person who was singing seemed to be singing from the depth of his heart, his voice was soulful it made Zelda feel like she had gone through everything the person was singing.

'It isn't easy as you think, don't make me hate myself,'

'Don't you know that I ain't good,'

The lyrics touched Zelda's heart.

''Who's the singer?'' Zelda inquired.

''Well, we don't know. The person always sings at this time, we tried checking out in the college studio but the person always covered his face with a mask and always looked the door from inside,'' Levi replied with a shrug.

''Do you know how to sing?'' Nicole turned towards Zelda.

''As far as I know, I sing terribly,'' Zelda replied shaking her head.

Rose chuckled, ''Are you interested in joining the cheerleading group, I am captain, so?''

''Nope, thanks,'' Zelda replied politely.

As they were chatting Lucius and Tristian who just passed by, came to them.

Tristian turned towards the attendant as he spoke, ''One cup lizard shake, acid pops and cauldron fries.''

Zelda's eyes widened at his orders, she chuckled awkwardly as the attendant's face turned sour.

''He is just joking, give him some cappuccino and muffins,'' Lucius spoke clearing the weird atmosphere.

The attendant smiled as she murmured to herself, ''Kids these days,''

Zelda glared at Tristian as she gave him a small pinch on his arm.

''How do you know him?'' Levi asked as he glared at Lucius.

''We are friends,'' Rose and Lucius replied at the same time, causing Lucius to chuckle.

''When did that happen?'' Tristian asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.

Zelda's lips turned into a naughty smirk, ''Long story,'' she spoke.

Tristian just nodded his head believing what she said.

Lucius internally laughed on seeing how much of a fool Tristian was.

Levi was still doubtful, 'why was Rose so nice to them?' he thought.

Time flew faster than they thought and now Rose and Zelda were in the dorm preparing to go to bed.

Rose was doing her night routine as she put on her face mask, Zelda just braided her unruly-curly hairs and jumped on the bed.

''You should take care of your skin,'' Rose spoke as she removed the cucumbers from her eyes.

''It isn't necessary, I am happy with my skin,'' Zelda spoke as she pinched her own cheeks.

''I wish I had that confidence, Anyways Great night!'' Rose spoke as she put on the cucumbers.

''You too''.Zelda greeted and put on her blankets.

All she could think was, how worse rose's nights are going to be, and little did she know about it.

********************

The day dawned crisp and clear and the students were astonished to see Zelda and Rose coming with their heads together.

''Did the sun rise from the west today?'' murmured one of the students as they saw the duo walking next to each other.

''Rose is a nice girl she just needs time to adjust,'' another girl replied with a shrug.

Zelda felt a bit awkward as she felt the other students casting an eye at her.

Rose sighed, ''Don't mind them if you continue to listen to them you will never move forward,''

''I sometimes can't help,'' Zelda replied.

''Hey! Whom are you staring at! Not seen girls before?'' Rose glared at a guy who was staring at them as he folded his arms on his chest.

''Not someone like you,'' The guy's lips curved up.

''You...

Before Rose could give him a reply somebody pushed her from behind and just in time Zelda caught her and prevented her from falling.

Zelda and Rose both turned around to look at the person who did this.

Zelda's eyes widened as she saw the gloomy guy from her class for unknown reasons her heart started racing.

Rose gritted her teeth and glared at him.

The gloomy guy just looked down and mumbled a ''sorry'' before he left.

The crowd just gasped as the boy left.

''Why is everybody's reaction, so shocked?'' Zelda whispered in Rose's ear.

''The guy who bumped me right now, hmmm, this is the first time he uttered a word during the whole year,'' Rose replied making Zelda's curiosity peak up.
