Edric shifted his legs in a domineering position and said, "I asked him to do it because I can't reveal my true identity. Even now, I still can't tell you who I am exactly and I won't apologize for that, Scarlet."
Edric sighed and looked at Jane who was squeezing his hand gently for moral support.
"Your dad has been calling me Young Master ever since. Though I am not your biological brother, I am your distant relative. My mother actually came from the McWilliams family, too. I'm already an orphan and I thought that it's best if I can reach out to your family. Since my identity is special, I asked him to take me in as his son."
Scarlet thought that it was so selfish for Edric to do it. Therefore she could not contain her emotions and snapped.
She got up and looked at Edric with anger and disappointment!
