Edric got up with a sigh of relief inside his heart.
"Thank you, wife. I'll work hard. I promise."
Jane sighed after seeing Edric's relieved expression.
"Okay." Though she had said that, Jane was not expecting much so she won't be disappointed in the end. It's not easy to mend a broken heart after all.
Then, Edric's face became serious again.
"What's wrong?"
"Now that you know about the prophecy. I have to warn you about something.
Jane subconsciously gulped as she waited in anticipation.
"What is it? What's more shocking than knowing that you might die any minute by now?" There's a hint of sarcasm in her tone when she said that.
"Over the years that Irgul had controlled this body, he gained many followers. And they were people of the dark."
Looking at Jane's frowning face, Edric suggested that it's better to talk about this in their most comfortable position.
Jane din't object and agreed to follow him while he led her back to the sofa.
