Jane was already asleep when Edric arrived inside her dorm.
He removed his coat and dropped it on the couch while he removed his tie and white shirt leaving him only with his undershirt.
He also removed his pants leaving him with boxers.
And then, he carefully slipped inside the covers to not wake her up.
However, before he could even adjust himself as he laid down beside her, Jane wrapped her arms around his body.
"What took you so long?" She asked groggily and Edric carefully organized his thoughts to not spill anything.
"Oh. It took longer than expected, wife. I thought you're already sound asleep when I slipped inside the covers."
"I was asleep when you came in. I just felt your presence and then I wake up."
"I bet you are. Now, go back to sleep. I'll watch over you, okay?"
"Aren't you going to sleep? You should sleep, too." She said with a pout. Looking at the clock on the wall, it's already eleven in the evening.
It was already late.
"Okay! Okay! Let's sleep."
