Malark placed his hand on the ground. He slowed his breathing to be able to hear the silent sound being made by the mountain. He could feel it in his veins that the mountain was alive.ghr
The feeling was like water flowing down a river, he exhaled lightly at what he had discovered. The mountain was alive, he removed his hand from the ground.
The others looked to him for answers, instinctively they thought him to be someone to turn to in order to survive the mountain of suffering.
"I am not even going to ask why you were hugging the ground," hope said lightly to cheer him up. Malark couldn't afford to smile.
The mountain was alive and it was feeding off of them to know what they were afraid of. While they touched down after landing, they touched the trees around to find their bearing and that was how the mountain was able to replay the memories of them.
