A million thoughts run through Landon's mind.
He wanted the world to stop for a moment so that he could take it in. "Your encounter with Taka wasn't by chance. You both began your journeys at the same place outside the in-between," Arian's amused voice sounded.
However, Landon couldn't laugh with him. Nothing about what was going on was funny.
"I've watched you since you left. Do you want to know what I find funny?" he inquired.
Landon tightly gripped the hem of his shirt. A part of him wanted to hear it but the other part was sure that it was going to be anything nice. So he gave no response.
"The funny part of your story K, is that you always consider yourself the beauty of the story," Arian uttered.
He hooked his arm around Landon and pulled him towards the wall built around the hill. Landon had no choice but to follow, having a bad feeling in his gut about the wall.
