Landon couldnt be detered by Arian's words.
He was sure that there was a chance for him to change god's mind. Everyone had a weakness. He had to find Arian's and then find a way to get his happy ending.
Arian unfroze everyone and everything. It was painful to be able to hear the thoughts that Landon had.
