Soon the king sent a summon to all the royal family to meet in the family room. Theo sat in the seat of the head with Sly by his side.
They were the first people into the room. They sat together in silence, none of them daring to start the conversation that was the topic of the day, Landon.
"Announcing the arrival of the prince, prince Malark," the page announced. The doors were opened and the prince walked in.
Malark stepped into the room, giving off an aura of royalty.
"It's good that you are here," Theo said relieved to be able to talk. "Have a seat," he instructed.

His objection forced Theo and Sly to raise their gazes to him. Malark stepped forward and bowed in respect to his parents.
