The people who muster their courage scream their heart out as they face this undead beast
As many people run away from fear of this undead creature that emerge from the ground, those who stay along with Hiroko, Crocus, Murakami, Head Captain Richard, and Prince Aarone strengthen their resolve and stay firm with their heads up, swords in hand, facing their possible death
The undead elder wyvern started to attack and with one fierce swipe of its wing that is already decaying, those who are unlucky enough to not get away in time ended up dead
As many people run back to the wall, those who were left started attacking the undead elder wyvern
All types of magic are used to aggravate the elder wyvern toward the range of the barrage and once the undead elder wyvern are in range the magic cannon and catapult started to fire
Even some sorcerer who are recovering their mana stood up in line to help killing this beast while in range
Arrows were drawn and Magic was casted, everything was focused on the undead elder wyvern, but no matter what happen it cannot go down
Barrage after barrage, everyone is focused on taking the beast down and forgotten to kept the enemies other forces in check
"The undead are matching forward!" A random adventurer shouted
The undead people started their march and about to reach the wall, and so the first platoon that are resting rush to get their armour and weapon to defend the wall from being breach
Maintaining the barrage while keeping the undead army from advancing was a difficult task
"COWARDS!!! Those who run away will be punished and put on the task of preventing the enemy's ground troops from advancing, don't you let a single undead get near to our sorcerers and Casters!" Sarah yelled
Fully armoured Sarah took command to defend the medical tent from the enemy's ground troop and also take part on defending while the hero party along with the prince took down the undead elder wyvern
Sarah is fighting multiple undead at once and having a hard time keeping her back safe
As a undead about to land a hit on Sarah's back a black sword impaled the undead, destroying its mana crystal, it was Shino, just joining the defence
"Guild master!! How do we took down that thing?!" Shino asked as he defend along with Sarah
"Like every other undead! But that thing has a bigger mana crystal, about the size of a Human, and also a tougher one too, it is highly resistant in Holy water, so the only thing we can do is to destroy its crystal!" Sarah replied
"Okay! I'll push forward and relay it to the hero party! Don't stray far too deep in the enemy line" Shino said
Shino turned his double sword in to a two handed sword ˹Perses˼ and clear a path toward the Hero party who are currently battling the wyvern and used ˹Lightning Movement˼ to get there quickly
As Shino dash toward them he notice Kuro and Shiro coming towards him, landing beside him while also keeping up with his speed
"Master, what do we do?" Shiro asked as she run along with Shino
"Do we take that thing down master?" Kuro asked as she also run along with Shino
"You two get back and find a way to transfer 5,000 bottles of holy water to the device quickly and report back to me after you are done, I'll help holding the wyvern out the distance" Shino ordered
"Yes master!" Shiro and Kuro replied
The twins jump back towards the medical tent and immediately toward where the device currently at
Meanwhile in the very foot of the undead wyvern…
"The barrage are coming, fall back!!" Prince Aarone shouted
Crocus and Hiroko get away from the undead wyvern and second later a cascade of explosion hit the wyvern
"DAMN! The skin of this wyvern is though!" Prince Aarone said
"Yeah, this guy is really a tough one, where did they get its corpse?" Hiroko asked
The undead Elder Wyvern received a full blown from the barrage and emerge unscratched and stomp the ground crushing the soldier underneath
"Keep up with the rhythm, attack when the barrage stop, casters and sorcerer keep aiming in the eye, and keep the pressure, attack until your sword break!" Richard shouted
"UURRRAAAHHH!!!!" everyone shouted
The undead elder wyvern swing its wing again and about to hit everyone when crocus and a few shielder stand in the way
Crocus and the few shielder started to chant unanimously, "Built by a thousand, withstanding everyone, Shielder Style: ˹Castle Fortress˼"
The wing impact the Shielder's shield and stop it from the spot but the Shielder's armour and shield break from the impact and made their whole body tremble
Crocus on the other hand only had his armour and shield cracked but still intact
Crocus thumbs up his fellow Shielder and said, "Great teamwork everyone"
Crocus was worried as he look at his armour and said to himself, "I might die if I get hit again by that thing"
Because of the effort Crocus and his fellow Shielder made, the attacking team made a clean hit that open the wyvern's chest and saw the mana crystal
Murakami was ecstatic and shouted, "There it is, we just need to destroy it"
The undead wyvern screech loudly, with its mouth open the wyvern started to eat its fellow undead and those who died, everyone fighting it was shocked and saw the wound they just cut open, closed as it devour the undead and dead people around
Fully recovering its open chest the wyvern attack vigorously again but was stop by the incoming barrage
"How are we going to defeat it if it just can regenerate!?" Hiroko asked
"We also need to defeat it sooner or those who are in the medical tent will just keep getting pressured" Richard added
Prince Aarone dash toward without hesitation and said, "If it can regenerate its flesh then we just need to stab through it"
With sword in hand Prince Aarone summoned his spirit, Thunder Wolf, ˹Jackal˼ and said, "Jackal, paralyze it"
The prince Spirit run towards the wyvern and howl at it, a second later a lightning hit the wyvern and disable it from moving
"Assist the Prince!" Richard shouted
"HAAIII!!" everyone shouted
Murakami stick his staff on the ground and started to chant, "Weapon of the underworld I borrow you, burn the sinner and incinerate my foe, ˹Devil's Pitchfork˼"
A black like flame rise of from the ground and form a pitchfork like appearance, Murakami grab it bare hands and immediately throw it towards the wyvern
Upon throwing the Pitchfork reach speed faster than a blink of an eye and hit the wyvern's chest, setting it in flames and charring it completely
"Murakami, your hand!" Hiroko shouted
"It's fine, just a little burned, ahaha" Murakami replied with a smile
Prince Aarone smile and said, "Nice assist Murakami-san"
Prince Aarone run towards the burned chest and said, "Two Handed Sword Style: ˹Clean Cut˼"
Prince Aarone swing his sword and open the wyvern chest again, seeing the chest open again
And seeing the wound opened he shouted, "Hiroko!"
"Yes!" Hiroko shouted back
Hiroko took a deep breath and chanted, "Run as fast as I can be, flash of light I shall be, ˹Lightning Movement˼"
Hiroko dashed toward the chest in a blink of an eye and said, "Two Handed Sword Style: ˹Mountain Splitter˼"
With all his might put to his sword, Hiroko swing his sword as if there is no tomorrow, pouring every ounce of the strength he has on this swing…
*SNAP*
"EH?!" Hiroko asked confusedly
Hiroko perfect vertical swing hit the mana crystal but his sword snap upon impact, completely confused Hiroko was baffled and forgot to look to his surrounding
Noticing he is about to get hit by the wyvern attack Hiroko block it and was sent flying but still alive
Prince Aarone eyes was wide open, completely confused and said, "Hiroko's sword broke? How?! It was made by the Kingdoms finest blacksmith"
Broken sword at hand, injured arms, Hiroko are confused why his sword broke and kept asking himself how it broke or why it broke
The wyvern screech again and started to attack again, the wyvern turns around and about to whip everyone including Hiroko but Crocus stood firm with a smile and used ˹Castle Fortress˼ again with his cracked armour and shield
Crocus manage to redirect the tail upward but was sent flying, Hiroko saw his friend being sent flying in the air, blood and armour piece flying all over, Crocus receive a fatal blow and was sent flying
Hiroko cannot comprehend what is happening and can only follow the direction Crocus are heading
Crocus was still conscious and said to himself, "Ahh, this is the end huh? Survive will you? You dimwit"
Crocus closed his eyes and embraced his end, but a warm touch of a hand was felt on his back, he can feel his body slowing down and once he open his eyes again he heard
"You did a good job Crocus-san"
Still in the air Crocus looked back to see who it was behind him and saw Shino, catching him using one hand
"˹Rejuvenate˼" Shino chanted
With a warm light covering his body, Crocus was delighted to see Shino and said, "You son of bitch, Nice entrance"
