Chapter 3 - FOREST WOMAN OR NOBILITY

While Annabelle was brushing horse hair on her ranch and giving her grass, a man came up to her. The man was wearing a leather coat, brown in color with a large gold chain dangling around his waist, giving his appearance an arrogant and annoying impression. Even so he is a nobleman who is quite influential in London.

Realizing that a noble was approaching her, Annabelle immediately cleaned herself from the dirt stuck to her clothes and greeted the nobleman politely.

"Good morning Lord Falkner, it is an honor for us, to have a guest like you on our estate," said Annabelle in a courtesy that sometimes made her feel sick.

"Good morning Miss Annabelle, yesterday my messenger sent you a note of debt, but there was no answer from you," said Lord Falkner, arrogantly.

"I'm sorry My Lord, I haven't had time to reply to your message, I'm still thinking about your request."

"What do you have to think again? I will give you the wealth you want. You will live in the castle that I specially prepared for you, even you will get servants like a lady. "

"But still my status is not a lady, I will only become a mistress and lose my honor."

Lord Falkner laughed out loud when he heard Annabelle's words. Her teeth were damaged by the sweet food she ate too much, making Annabelle disgusted by the sight.

"Am I not mistaken when you talk about honor? Where does that honor go when you defile yourself with a man whose origins are unclear. Now shamelessly you speak to me of honor. I have been kind, want to give you money and a castle, there is not a noble like me who will treat you well like I did to you. "

Lord Falkner's humiliation made Annabelle clench her fists tightly, holding back her anger, but she held herself back from smiling.

"Thank you for reminding me of what's happening in my life. Even I myself forgot about it. After hearing your words, I have concluded my answer. "

"So what do you conclude, Miss Annabelle?"

"With all my humility, I reject your proposal, Lord Falkner," said Annabelle, raising her face high. He didn't want his pride trampled on. Instantly Lord Falkner's face flushed angrily at Annabelle's answer. His broken teeth were not visible again as his mouth was shut for a moment.

"You're going to be sorry, Miss Annabelle, you have another month to leave the estate," threatened Lord Falkner.

"That wouldn't happen if I could pay your debt."

"You won't be able to pay it, there won't be any nobles willing to marry you."

"I am sure there are good men who will accept me for who I am."

"Don't dream too high, Miss Annabelle. If you fall, it will hurt a lot. "

"Thank you for your advice, Lord Falkner. I will remember it. "

"If in one month no nobleman wants to marry you, you may come to you. Brave and wild woman like you, it's a shame not to be missed. "

"Thank you for your compliment, Lord Falkner," said Annabelle, bending down. Lord Falkner left Annabelle in anger. Never before in his history had a woman rejected him and his wealth. Annabelle, the aristocrat who had fallen into poverty and corruption, had the courage to reject him.

After seeing Lord Falkner leave, Annabelle took up her red hooded coat and mounted her horse. He needed something to vent his anger. Quickly breaking through the forest, he didn't care about the branches and twigs scratching his skin. He needed something to get rid of the anger.

Annabelle headed for a waterfall in the middle of the forest, after arriving at the edge of a steep ravine, she tied her horse's bridle to a tree on the edge of the cliff. Sure no one saw her, Annabelle took off her boots. So she took off his red hood and draped it over the tree to which his horse was tied.

Annabelle's hand took off her horse shirt, leaving a thin white cloth stuck to her body. With his legs spread apart, she started down the steep ravine and stood on top of the rushing waterfall. Never has a noble woman with open legs stepped onto the edge of the abyss. Undressing in a public place, exposing her body in very thin underwear.

Without Annabelle knowing, a pair of golden brown eyes were staring and observing him from afar. Enjoying the beautiful silhouette of Annabelle's body that is so one with nature. The woman's golden hair swayed because the wind was blowing hard carrying water droplets from a heavy waterfall. Those golden brown eyes didn't want to move away from that silhouette.

The woman was like a witch who made her freeze from the beauty of her body. Does that woman have a spell that keeps her eyes fixed on her?

Albert felt very ashamed of himself at this time. Is it true that a Duke like himself is secretly peeking at a woman? Was the woman standing on the waterfall the woman he met the other day? Could she be living in this forest?

Albert's heart seemed to stop when he saw the woman getting ready to plunge from the top of a heavy waterfall. Is that woman intending to commit suicide?

"STOP! DO NOT DO IT!" shouted Albert, waving his hand, hoping that the woman would see or hear his scream.

Of course the woman would not hear it, for the current was so heavy that it made a sound that echoed in the wild.

Albert jumped up and quickly descended the chasm. He did not care about the dirt and stones stained her beautiful clothes, as he slid from the top of the forest at a rapid pace. His hand was even injured when hit by dry thorns and twigs. With his boots, he ran fast to reach the woman's body, less than a few meters his hand grabbed her body, Albert was late.

The body had slid down and into the rushing waterfall. Albert thought twice about following what that woman did. He didn't know what was down there. If there is a rock waiting for him below, he will definitely not be saved, but what if he still has a chance to save her?

Just as he was about to slide, his eyes suddenly caught the woman's body floating on the water. Is that woman dead? Not. The woman was even swimming without the slightest fear, her body rising and sinking under the crash of the waterfall above her. Her beautiful body writhed in the water.

Albert could only shake his head, could not understand what the woman had done. What did she do, be it courage or stupidity? She could easily break his neck in the water, or break his head in a rock and die instantly.

Albert cursed loudly for worrying about the woman who wanted to swim under the waterfall. He quickly left the woman. He stared at his injured hand which now felt like it was pulsing. While walking back into the forest, Albert pulled out the thorns that had pierced the skin of his hands.

Luckily the woman was a forest woman who couldn't possibly appear in her castle. If she was a noble woman, she would drag and lock her up in her castle, so that she couldn't wander around in thin clothes that almost revealed her beautiful body.

Albert also returned to his castle with his horse racing slowly, his hands were very painful because of the wounds he received. When he arrived at the castle he immediately called Simon to treat his wounds.

"Did you fall off the horse, My Lord? Why do you get hurt like this? "

"I was chasing a wild horse that got me this wound."

"Wild horses? In which forest did you go? As far as I know there are no more wild horses in the forest, "Simon asked, frowning in surprise.

"You never know what to expect in the woods, Simon. Stop talking, hurry up and treat my wounds! " Albert ordered.

"Yes, My Lord."

Under the falls, Annabelle had no idea that she had made a Duke curse violently. Annabelle enjoyed the waterfall that flushed her body. When Annabelle was in the water, she had seen someone standing above the waterfall, where she was standing, staring at her, but when she came out of the water, no one was there.

"I must have seen it wrong," she muttered to himself, then he went back to swimming.
