After I left the Principal's office I took a deep sigh of relief by leaning next to the wall. " I was simply scared. Seems like it was easy to explain Principal.....How can it not be as there is nothing that isn't true that I told Principal? Seems like he is a reasonable person with fast analytical skills. I really like it." , I told myself and walked towards the teacher's staff.
Almost every teacher went to attend their respective classes who worked as a homeroom teacher of any class. Only the teacher who worked as subject teacher were there in the staff room. As soon as I entered there was hate and anxiety in everyone's eyes but they tried to show concern and tried to hide their hate towards me. But it was clear from their tone .
Lady teachers were gossiping about me with a very high tone to let me hear their conversation and indirectly tease me.
One of them told, " Aiahh.... what will she do now? She just started her work and she might have to leave because she is caught having affair within first week of work. How did she lure a men who never looked at any women till now? "
Another one replied loudly , " Maybe she used some black magic. I heard Indians are very good at black magic. These are child play for them "
I couldn't control my anger anymore as they were speaking such rubbish about me and included my country too. I knew that they were trying to provoke me and test my limits but I really couldn't hold on anymore. I just turned towards them with a pleasing smile to irritate them even more and told , "Aiahhhh.....it's seems you really want me to stay and care a lot about me. I really would like to thank you for your support . Please don't worry to much by thinking that I will leave as I already talked to him and I am continuing my work. Once again thank you so much for your concern. I really appreciate it."
Soon after they heard that I was not leaving their face turned black. They was struggling to keep their fake smile plastered on their lips. But it seems like they were too bad at acting. I wanted to give them their own space to continue their gossips . So I bowed them as a gasture of thank you to irritate them even more and as expected they were on fire and it was clear from the way they were looking and smiling at me. I just smiled back and went to my desk to sort out things and get ready for my class.
As I was about to enter the class all the students started throwing papers at me . I knew that I have to face this to explain them but I realised that if I enter without anyone with me they will hurt me within no time. My thoughts were interrupted when someone threw the daster on me and it hit my head . I started bleeding. Suddenly I saw someone stood infront of me while covering me from the students. I didn't care who it was and held his t-shirt tight and hid in his embrace.
Suddenly I felt that the students stopped throwing papers and a hand tapped my back and told me, " It's okay Miss Maria . Everything is fine. I will talk to the students. You can go to the madical room and put ointment on your wound." I turned to see who it was and felt relief by seeing it was Principle.
I was starlet when someone held my head and tried to put my head back to his chest to rest tht was when I realised that I was embracing someone. I looked up to check who was it.
I was shocked to see it was him. It was Mr. Wang. My mind went back to yesterday evening events on seeing him and I pushed him away from me. Everyone was shocked to see my reaction and was staring at me. I somehow was into my senses and remained myself that I cannot create any trouble here at any cost.
So I came up with the idea of acting as if I saw him for the first time.
He told me, " Come on Miss Maria I will take you to the madical room."
I replied him, " Thank you sir but I can go by myself as you already took enough trouble for me. I am sorry to trouble you."
He told Principal sir , " Sir please ask someone to clean the classroom and I will join you when you talk to the students." Sir nodded in agreement .
Seeing that sir will take care of it from here on so I was about to leave for the madical room when I felt a hand stopped me and within a fraction of second I found myself in his arms. He carrier and took me to the madical room. I wasn't able to react to such unexpected move of him and I kept staring at him till he out me down on medical room bed. He looked worried about me and that made me feel happy. Unknowingly my lips curved into smile thinking that he cared about me.
He was behaving like crazy when my blood flow didn't stop and shouted at doctor to look at my wound first. Doctor was shocked to see this side of him and asked him to calm down. He was looking at me worriedly and tears are about to roll down his eyes. He turned to other side and wiped his tears before turning towards me.
He was staring at me with worried and curious eyes and looked at doctor after every now and then. I was really happy to realise that he cares about me. I started thinking, " I he cares about me why didn't he trust me? I could have believed each thing he could say even if it was a lie. But it really hurts when I remember that he lied me by looking into my eyes effortlessly. I kept staring at him while thinking.
