Mr. and Mrs. March and their only son were in the living room, enjoying their first peaceful afternoon in eight months. Mr. March was sitting in his favorite chair, reading an encyclopedia of farm animals. This man was in the last chapter. And little Raul was lying on the floor next to his father's chair. This son was drawing on his sketchbook, now three pages left, with a yellow crayon in his right hand. While Mrs. March was standing near the bookcase, looking for a book to read for her baby. Vivian just finished some house chores and her embroidery of beautiful flowers on a pillowcase.
