ALBERT looked at his right, then left. The hallway was dark. Not even the faintest light sparks through this gloomy, dark hallway, making it looked like an abandoned place at night. And no one was on the second floor–no maids or manservants. He heaved a hefty sigh. Of course, there would be no one here. No servants would ever dare to wander on this floor. Why? Well, Bridget does not tolerate any servant to be here when she was away. Bridget despised if anyone tried to approach her 'sick' husband. She allowed no visitors or servants to see Dominick. Not even the children of the previous Duke could visit their father.
