Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 04 - COURTING LAYLAC : MONDAY PT. 3

The opening ceremony ended with all the girls being the only one contented.

"Our boy has grown a lot. Last time, he's one bath away now he's several bath away." Chris said referring on Hac's exposure on the stage earlier. He was privileged to talk infront because he was the top student since middle school. He gave his speech of encouragement.

After the closing hymn, the students were instructed to go back on their respective rooms.

"Look at Saira." Chris gestured.

The three of them stared at the bubbly small girl talking to her friends, time to time, you can faintly hear Hac's name in every fast sentence that's coming from her mouth.

"....he is perfect. Hac's will probably win the class representative election to be held next month---" she stopped halfway when he saw the three looking at her. Just looking at her in pure curiousity.

"And what is the three idiot have in mind right now, if I may ask?" she crossed arm looking back at them.

"Nothing, it's just raw happiness seeing your saliva water your friends every time you speak." Taz replied

The two almost laughed but kept it in as the small lady redden in anger.

"YOU! BOORISH MEN!!!" she shouted and took his heel to chase them away.

"Cut off their heads!" Chris cried out mimicking the Red Queen because Saira really looked like her right now. Small but brave enough to chase men away.

The three ran away from her and panted as they reached their building.

They laughed while walking towards their assigned classroom.

"Did you..." Jur panted "...did you see her face?" Jur giggled

"She looked like a burned marshmallow." Chris laughed

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" the three jumped in shock when Saira appeared. She followed them right inside their classroom.

"Hey, hey young lady. You're trespassing." Jur said

"Don't you know we're instructed to get to our rooms immediately? You're not listening aren't you?" Chris added.

But Saira scoffed against the three tall man, she crossed-arms again, "Excuse me idiots but my room is here."

"WHAT?!" Chris and Jur exclaimed

"You're a classmate?!"

Saira lifted her chin as a now-you-know vibes.

"Of all people..." they whispered

"Said something?!" she aggressively asked

"I said children are still not allowed to attend high school." Chris answered.

Saira raised her fist to threaten him but their homeroom teacher suddenly entered.

"This is not the end." Siara said and turned her long braid intentionally to hit them and walked back to her chair.

"You two should also sit." Taz called out, settled on a chair just beside the window.

They occupied the chair Taz prepared for them.

"Don't tell me you knew?" Chris asked as he sit on the desk beside Taz. Asking him if he knew that Saira is one of their classmates.

"Of course. You even walked up close to see the list right?" Taz replied giving the you-should-know tone.

Chris can't help but to feel ashamed. He stretched his lips and straightened to look in front same as Jur, they only cared for their names but haven't check their potential enemies and allies.

One of the best enemy is the Red Queen, Saira. She was the elected class president in their first year in middle school and was strict and righteous. She always nagged at the three of them for being a drag and always points out their mistakes in case of cheating, skipping cleaning duties, not answering homeworks etc., And she's the President of Hac's fanclub in the school by the way.

But everything took a swift turn for her after Laylac appeared. She submerged into the deepest trench because Laylac's beauty overcome her cuteness, Laylac was smarter than her and Laylac nicknamed as the Royal Princess equalling the Royal Prince, Haquille.

She became the forgotten queen.

Then next was Prince, he literally named Prince. Sitting right in the first row.

Prince was handsome, just handsome. But too narcissistic that he became one of the biggest rival of Jur to Laylac's attention.

Then next was the nerdy Nomian, he's not harmful just annoying. He'll drag you to any places to explore and will persuade you in anyway to join his 'Unearthy Science Club'. Jur was almost tricked but got lucky that he got his smart best friend Hac to save him from hypnosis.

Speaking of him, Jur was slightly sad. Hac has been with him since kindergarten, they weren't separated until elementary to middle school and for the first time, they got themselves separated especially now that they're in their years in stepping the early-matured stage of adolescence.

He sighed, Jur thought that unlike him, Hac must be okay with this since he got a lot of friends that wanted him to their circles. Almost everyone wanted his attention that's why it wouldn't be sad for him in the other side.

But he cried, "Laylac~" he still can't accept that Laylac is not in this class.

"Laylac?" the teacher frowned upon hearing it from Jur.

Everyone laughed while staring at him.

Jur blinked in confusion.

Taz who's infront of him turned, "When did your name became Laylac?" asked the man

His eyes widened, so it's the introduce yourself part! He didn't noticed because his mind was full of thoughts!

"I'm Jurlock Mithoven!" he immediately stood. "Sir."

"Thank you Mr. Laylac. Next." the teacher said humorously.

Then the room was filled with another batch of laughter once again.

The morning class ended earlier. The teachers didn't immediately discussed lessons because it's the first day.

"What to do now? It's too early for snack." Chris said

"How about we go to Hac?!" Jur excitingly invited

"Uh-huh, just to see Laylac right?" Chris refuted

Jur immediately smiled in silliness, "It's both."

"So what are we waiting for? Come on!" Chris stood and Jur immediately followed.

"Hey Taz you're not coming?" Jur asked as the person had his head and arms laid on the desk. Postured to sleep.

"Mm." he replied.

"But---"

"Let him be. He'll just get angry when we force him." Chris advised

Jur nodded, "Later then Taz!"

The two happily walked towards the neighboring room and luckily, their morning class had ended early too!

After entering the second door of the classroom, oriented at the back side of the room they immediately spotted Hac who was sitting alone at the last row but still looking sophisticated all on his own.

"Yo my friend." Chris greeted which made Hac curve a smile as soon as he saw them.

"Wow, is it Valentine's? I didn't knew August can be February." Chris said in sarcasm seeing different snacks laid on Hac's table.

Hac was looking around Chris, "Where's Taz and Jur?" he asked.

"Taz's sleeping and Jur---" Chris turned and, "....he's gone." Chris frowned.

"Where did he go?" he asked back.

But Hac immediately saw him at the door, peeking lika a big ant.

"Now I know why." Hac turned to the table beside him.

"Hey Laylac. Do you mind Jur entering the room?" he asked casually to the girl.

Laylac who had her hair clipped with an elegant pearl pin turned to him, "I don't mind." she said

"Are you sure with that Laylac? Don't you remember what that man had done to you this morning?" her friend called Mist opposed.

"Yeah." his other friend named Vonent agreed focusing her attention on braiding Mist.

"Come on, we all know it's all an accident." Chris defended back.

"Accident or not, that man touched---"

"Vonent." Laylac cold voice stopped her.

"Sorry." she uttered

"This room isn't mine so he's free." she answered then switched back her attention on her cellphone.

Hac gestured Jur to enter but the man was too weak and just peeked.

Hac made a warning expression which made the other comply.

Jur entered the room silently, his gaze focused only on Laylac.

He continued to walk ignoring the two and walked straight right beside Laylac.

"Oh---!" Vonent almost got a heart attack when she was about to turn to borrow Laylac's ponytails but spotted the creepy looking face of Jur beside her.

"Hey! You almost shock me to death!" Vonent exclaimed.

Laylac turned to him caused by noise.

Jur was making a nervous face that's why it's a bit creepy,

"I-I apologize for this morning. It wasn't intended." he said in utmost sincerity but Laylac was too emotionless, and just nodded.

"Okay." she said and turned her sight away from him.

But it is enough to have Jur beam in happiness and suddenly felt like he's finally having a chance towards her heart.

"Um, Laylac, if I may ask, can you go out---" he was cut off when Chris covered his mouth and pulled him back towards Hac's desk.

"Are you stupid?! You're asking her out? Here? Right now?!" Chris asked in disbelief.

It completely doesn't make sense just because Laylac finally spoke to him, he'll do another confession which is predictably to fail again!

....
