Si Lan breathed a sigh as she revealed her cultivation of 5th of Martial Master. Ken Hai smiled as he revealed his to be the same level shocking her and those presently watching.
Si Lan was currently sweating a bit, as she thought. 'If I'm a genius what is he?!' It is not only for her beauty that Si Lan is well known, but also her talent, she was able to achieve Martial Master at 22 people normally doesn't achieve when their in there 26, some cultivators doesn't reach there until their in they're thirties!
But she used a breathing technique, she learned from her master which calmed her down.
She looked at Ken Hai with focus and clear look in her yes. She then rushed at him. Ken Hai drew his sword the blade was pitch black, it seemed as if it rejected light itself.
The two then clashed sparks coming off both their swords. Ken Hai's feral smile widened as the two separated.
Ken Hai dashed towards Si Lan and so did he, he threw multiple sword strikes, Si Lan was barely able to block them all.
'Such speed and power. It's like he's a completely different fighter from before!' she though as he hands felt slightly numb from Ken Hai's smile.
It seemed even though he lowered his cultivation to her level his physical strength was still too much.
Ken Hai was relentless in his attacks but Si Lan kept calm. Ken Hai spun around his body as he delivered a blow which knocked her a few feet away.
But Si Lan's breathing pattern changed.
*Boom!* The ground cracked beneath her feet as she clashed with Ken Hai. Sparks flew off their swords, the battle between between them continued.
To the people watching it seemed as if it was a dance, as Ken Hai and Si Lan kept moving around, each of their attacks calculated, Ken Hai's attacks being more so.
Ken Hai ducked under a swing parried each an attacked and delivered a kick which was dodged by Si Lan, who did a summersault backwards.
"Your using a breathing technique." says Ken Hai with a smile. "I am. It's called the Bursting Wind breathing method, it allows the user to increase their physical power temporarily." says Si Lan.
'This youngster is even talented in battle. It's such a shame we didn't recruit him.' she thought as she looked at the smiling form of Ken Hai.
"I'll try it."
"What?" muttered Si Lan, but Ken Hai pointed to her and said "I'll try that breathing technique of yours." Hearing this she became wide eyed.
"What? This youngster is going to try to copy a breathing method!" says some one in the crowd.
"This youngster may be genius, no a once in a lifetime prodigy, but there should be a limit! There's no way he can copy a breathing method after seeing it just once!"
However Ken Hai ignored them as he began to copy Si Lan's breathing method. It was easy for Ken Hai, he could sense the movement in the wind and how she breath the air, it used to be a small technique he used to figure out bandit ambushes.
But it's not really needed since he has danger sense, so he barely uses it. It was when Si Lan decided to use another breathing method did he decide to do this.
The first one was to made for focus, instead of outright power.
With breath he disappeared and arrived infront of Si Lan as the two began another dance of swords.
"Did that youngster really just copy her breathing method just by seeing it!" said one of the person's who doubted Ken Hai before.
*Clang!* Si Lan was pushed back a few feet, her eyes were wide. 'But how?! The physical boost shouldn't be this high!' she thought gritting her teeth.
Thinking at incredible speeds mid attack, Ken Hai fully comprehended the breathing method. Then he figured out it was a bit faulty so he altered it to suit his tastes.
Si Lan then charged her qi. "Tyrant Sword Style: Heavenly Updraft!" her qi changed into sword qi, a sword beam flew from her blade and up into the sky.
Ken Hai's danger sense picked up on it, so he jumped back before he could be hit by the attack.
"~Whistle~ That was a pretty amazing attack!" said Ken Hai with a smile on his face.
"Amazing! He just forced her into using the legendary Tyrant Sword Arts!" says an experienced cultivator.
"What is that senior?" asked a more inexperienced one. The more experienced cultivator turned to his junior.
"Simple only inner disciples and elders learn the Tyrant Sword Arts! It is incredibly powerful and one of the top ten best sword arts in the entire empire!"
'Seriously I didn't really need the commentary?' thought Ken Hai, with another breath, he enhanced his body with qi an dashed towards Si Lan.
He covered his weapon in sword qi surprising Si Lan again. His blade then erupt in flames as he launched a fiery sword attack.
Si Lan was barely to dodge he shoulder getting cut and burned at the same time. "That attack, it burned and cut me. You fused both sword and flame qi didn't you." she says, holding
"Is such a thing possible!"
"I don't know?"
Ken Hai rested his blade on his shoulder and summoned a ball of, fire, water, earth, wind and lightning, a long with a small golden aura that sort of looked like a sword.
Ken Hai did not give a crap about revealing a little of what he knew. This is simply but a drop in the ocean of what he knew.
"These are all the qi affinities I mastered." he said. "But how?" asked Si Lan.
"Whenever a person, learns a new affinity, it's like they learning to write with your left arm. And when you learn a second one it's like trying to write with you less dominant hand. But everyone here has learned of my qi control method by now right?" said Ken Hai as he was giving a lecture.
And at his questions everyone nodded. "This also another boon of practicing qi control." This was just another thing Ken Hai figure out in his qi experiments with Len Huamin. They weren't tortuous at all rather tame for the person who tried orchestrating his downfall.
Brandishing his sword he smile "Enough of that let's continue our fight!" he said as he dashed towards his opponent.
*CLANG!!!* The clashed Si Lan getting pushed her back. She gritted her teeth as the clash made her arms go numb.
She and Ken Hai then both used their sword qi in their next clash, causing waves of sharpness to slice up the entire ring, even those close by had to move away.
Though due to Ken Hai's mastery over sword qi, Si Lan was sent flying back, Ken Hai's sword qi caused multiple small slash wounds to appear on her body.
Seeing that she was about to get flung out of the ring, he immediately grabbed her hand.
Now you'd expect him to pull her in and she would romantically fall into his arms or the two will fall out of the ring and land on each other like in a harem anime.
That did not happen. Ken Hai has seen way too many anime to not make such a stupid mistake.
He simply waited for her to regain her balance and that's it.
"So you wanna continue fighting?" he says, Si Lan sighed and sheathed her blade.
"I concede you win.'' she say.
