The sound of rustling woke me from my sleep.
I shot upward and got to my feet, but Amaranth and Sakimi were still fine, so, I turned in the direction of the noise.
"Who's there?" I asked.
No response.
"I heard you, you know? You're not very good at hiding your presence."
No response.
At this point, it could have just been an animal. If they were hostile, they probably would have attacked us already.
Still, I needed to be sure that we weren't in danger.
I said, "If you don't come out, I'll have no choice but to resort to this."
Upon saying that sentence, I drew Bone Shredder, revealing the menacing saw spear.
"Fine," a tomboyish voice said.
A woman emerged from the vegetation, wearing baggy pants, a leather jacket, and aviator goggles. Her poofy red hair was also tied up in a high ponytail, making her head look like the top of a carrot.
"I didn't expect to see people 'round these parts," the woman said.
