"What the hell are you doing out here?!" Virgil exclaimed.
"Waiting for you," Grace said.
She had slept in her car the night before, and when the sun rose, she sat on one of the benches outside the Telemachus Technologies building.
It was about 7:00 AM when Virgil arrived.
"Did you already make your decision, Grace?"
"Yes."
"But you didn't have to tell me in person," Virgil said.
"I actually slept in my car in the parking lot over there. I had no other place to stay. When I woke up, I figured that I'd just wait here for you."
"Oh...I see. What about Quincy?"
"I left him at an orphanage."
Virgil sighed. "I hope he can live a good life there."
"Me too."
"Well, alright. Let's go inside."
Grace followed Virgil into the building and asked, "So, when can I start living in the game?"
"It'll still take a little while to complete the system. Until then, you can stay in one of the vacant offices."
