In the next moment, Lux's head was rolling on the ground. As her body fell with a soft thud, I sheathed Arboria.
"So fast..." Sakimi muttered. "You just killed her before I could blink."
"Why did you kill a human?" Arboria asked.
"Ugh. She pissed me off. She's just one of the leech demon's minions anyway. But now, the demon knows about us. We're in for a bloody fight."
Before I left the alleyway, I equipped Curse Breaker as one of my spells. I recalled using this one as a precaution during the fight against the Fafnerheimlen. As for my two other spell slots, I had Rejuvenation and Pegasus.
"Be on your highest alert," I said to Sakimi. "Since Curse Breaker is a high-level spell, it will probably drain most of my mana in one use."
"Got it."
When I peeked around the corner, people were already walking toward us like a group of drones.
