Romeo nodded. "Get dressed, Julie. We're leaving this world behind."
And so, once they were ready, Romeo and Julie ran through the darkness. Since they were in the suburbs, they could head north—back toward Drachnum. Conversely, they could head south—toward the country.
"Where are we going?" Julie asked.
"Somewhere."
"What do you mean, somewhere?! Are you telling me that you have no idea?!"
"Shush. We can't let anybody hear us."
"Hmph. I can't believe you didn't plan any of this, though. What happens if your employer finds out about this?"
"He'll surely send more assassins to kill us. He might even call Zarathustra and rat me out. He's that kind of person. You know who I'm talking about, right?"
Julie gulped. "My husband?"
"Yeah."
A worried expression formed on Julie's face. "What are we gonna do from now on?"
"As I said, we're going somewhere."
"No. After that. What type of life will we live?"
