Marigold is dead.
In the end, I knew this would happen, but I just couldn't accept it despite seeing her corpse with my own eyes.
"Turn off the monitor," I said.
Ohma complied wordlessly.
For a moment, I sat still, letting the situation sink in.
"Ohma," I said. "I'll be gone for a while. If anybody asks, I'm out training."
"Got it."
And with that, I left the inn.
