Chereads / I Became the Villain’s Wife / Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

She bit her lips helplessly. She was focused on what she should do.

She rolled her eyes to find a way to escape from this situation, but a bunch of men surrounded them with narrow gaps in between. It seemed that they were resolute to get revenge. The fear that something bad will happen to her crept up to her mind.

It was then. Eun-woo let out a silent scream. The man was pulling Eun-woo's waist tight. At the same time, her body was wounded helplessly by the strength of his strong arms.

Her body froze in shock.

But the man was relentless. The man's breath blew in her ear. It was the blonde man who brought her lips to her earlobe.

Eun-woo opened her eyes wide and held her breath.

"Lady, I'll try to defend the table as much as I can, so hide underneath and hold on, and if there's a man crawling underneath, pop their eyes with this. Do you understand?"

The man whispered to her. Eun-woo, who had forgotten how to breathe, took hold of the glass bottle that the man's hand gripped roughly. The glass bottle had a broken bottom and was gleaming sharply. She shook her head, not even realizing that she was doing that. And at that moment, the man slammed the table in front of them with all his might.

"Now, come on! You bastards!"

Starting with the loud cry of the blonde man, the table crashed forward. At the same time, the man drew out his knife from its sheath. More than 20 men's screams and shouts rang out.

Eun-woo let out a shriek and crawled under the table the man was pointing at.

Her body trembled in fear. The sound of metal crashing against each other, the ripping of clothes and even flesh, blood gushing out, and the terrifying screams relentlessly penetrated her ears. Objects which were smashed in all directions, and tables that are scattered everywhere. Glass shards flew and fell onto the wet floor.

Eun-woo crawled on the floor like a crazy person in such a situation. Through the cracks in the planks of the worn-out wooden table, she could see the bodies of men who had fallen without mercy.

In the midst of the chaos where all kinds of noise cracked like the screams of the devil, Eun-woo covered her head with both hands as if to protect herself.

Once again, there was another presence who tore through her memories. It felt familiar. A creepy familiar sensation seemed to have dominated her body.

Those days of wiping the leather belt, the broken bottle, and the nosebleed marks on the old, falling floor with a towel sewn together with a mop…

The nightmare, which she had slowly forgotten while living in Eleanor Miller's body, unfolded before her eyes like a lie.

Eun-woo grabbed her stomach as if she was going to vomit and shut her mouth.

"What is it, lady? Where were you hurt?"

Above her head, the blonde man shouted in a harsh voice. He had noticed her condition even in an urgent situation that blocked one of the other men's daggers from attacking him.

Eun-woo rubbed her temple that was about to burst and yelled at him.

"Don't worry about this and keep your own neck!"

Before he could answer, a loud roar rang out. The man hastily blocked the attack from above. The huge man she had seen earlier, who had a huge body that she couldn't help but ask if he was a human, was smashing the tables with great force.

"Da*n it...!"

Amidst the tremendous force that made even the onlookers lose strength in their legs, the blonde man withstood the force.

However, the attacks continued to dig in. Rethual struck the man in the side with an old dirty butcher's knife. Someone let out a shrill scream. If it had not been for the blonde man to push back the sword he was holding with all his might to stop Rethual attack, Eun-woo would have passed out with open eyes without realizing that it was the scream she had made.

Cold sweat was dripping from her forehead and fell on the floor.

The blonde man attacked with his daggers with his swift movements. It seemed unbelievable and incredible with her own eyes, but the men swarmed in endlessly. Meanwhile, the giant man wielded a sword almost the size of Eun-woo, limiting the movement of the blonde man.

Then there was a bizarre sound, like a chicken's neck, and the man's cypress blade cut through the left arm of one of the gang's minions. The man cried out and fell to the floor. A small, cold thing caught in his hand around such a man. It was the broken glass bottle she had thrown away while screaming at him.

Eun-woo bit and chewed on the teeth that came into contact with her, and firmly grasped the narrow mouth of the glass bottle with both of her hands.

The tip of the bottle was trembling just like her heart. But she must not miss her target. She was engulfed in the memories of his past before she lived as Eleanor, and so it was impossible not to let go of her life here.

Blood was oozing out of Eun-woo's hand, holding the glass bottle tightly. The shards of the slightly broken glass bottle mouth were lodged in the palm of her hand.

But at that moment, Eun-woo felt no pain. Whether it was pain or fear, her whole body was strangely numbed, yet at the same time agile and quick to respond to all the fuss.

Eun-woo grabbed the trembling glass bottle so strongly that her own blood dripped onto the floor. She nodded and bit her lip.

In this chaos, she will survive with her hands and feet intact. She will not suffer, even if it takes a shattered glass bottle to dig out the enemy's eyeballs, she will protect herself.

It felt like tears were flowing inward instead of leaking out.

In the midst of this, she felt a strong pain as if her heart was being crushed on the face of the person she remembered. It was the face of Tashian, who by now could be looking for her anywhere. It seemed as if he would hastily run to her and shelter her body until all the chaos stopped.

Just thinking about him made her feel as if she was slowly floating in the deep, warm waters. Since when did she have so much dependence on him?

Eun-woo bit her lips once again as if swallowing her tears. However, Eun-woo was not going to chase him out of the way.

She couldn't even do that. How could she do that to him?

At that moment, a thick hand protruded through the cracks in the table where she was hiding.

"I found you, this girl…!"

My thoughts were shattered in an instant, and Eun-woo let out a shrill scream. It was a man named Rethual, who had led this multitude of people before.

He had a mean laugh, wrinkled his distorted forehead more and more ugly, and tried to snatch her head.

She squeezed all the energy she had all over her body. She smashed his hand with the broken glasses she was holding. The glass split into many unimaginable debris.

As he approached the table where she was hiding, Rethual grabbed his blood-stained hand and fell to his knees.

"Ugh, ughhh!! How dare you hit my hand…! I'll kill you!"

The man howled and fled towards her. Eun-woo fluttered her white clothes, found another glass bottle, and crawled back to the other side.

She found another well-formed glass bottle among the grains of sand in the shards of glass, picked it up, and threw it at the man.

"Go away… Get out of here…!!"

Eun-woo did not stop attacking, even though her arms were wobbly with glass bottles large enough that should be picked up with both hands. Her body, tensed enough to leak blood, moved naturally as if it had a second will.

Eun-woo grabbed all the sharp objects that were caught in her hands and threw them indiscriminately.

As if dropping her weapon, the empty-handed man eventually slammed the heavy brown, unbroken wine bottle she had tossed into his forehead, bleeding and fainting.

After defeating Rethual, Eun-woo sighed heavily and turned to the blonde man. Even in a horribly unfavorable fight, he displayed monstrous powers that wiped out half of the group of blond men.

However, he could not avoid a tough fight with the giant man he was currently dueling with.

In terms of his technique, the giant was making a simple attack that almost slashed his opponent with his large body, but the problem was the number. The other remnants attached to the back and side of the large man were pushing the black blade towards the blonde man.

Thanks to this, the blonde man had a lot of trouble dealing with even those little ones.

Eun-woo looked around the chaotic scene and looked around to see if there were any weapons to use. Her hands were dripping with blood and looked as if staggered rag.

Eun-woo tried to pick up the metal ax that had fallen around her with her blood-stained hands. But the ax was so huge that she couldn't even stand holding it, let alone swing it with her arms.

"Damn...!"

Eun-woo felt her anger rising to the top of her head and threw the ax to the floor. Then she went back to the table where she was hiding and pulled out one of her broken wooden legs with all her might. Fortunately, the wooden leg shuddered and was pulled out easily.

She held the wooden leg with iron nails in the end of it, with both of her hands, and ran towards the blonder man, who was struggling to block the formidable great sword that the giant was striking with his short, thin sword.

"Ahhh…!"

The blonde man's head was on the verge of being ripped in half by the giant's sword.

Eun-woo squeezed all the strength of her body as hard as she could and pressed the wooden plank nailed to the giant's leg. There was a sound that sounded like flesh being nailed, and then the giant staggered sideways with a howl of a beast. Not missing that moment, the blonde man slashed the giant's shoulder with his thin white sword.

A fountain of blood gushed from the giant's shoulder. While the giant had let go of the sword he was holding with his other hand, the blonde-haired man pressed his foot against the giant's stomach and with the recoil pulled the sword stuck in his shoulder. The blood of the giant human, red as wine, poured down the blond man's face.

Without delay, he made a second strike with the giant's neck.

"Ugh…!"

He fell to the floor, bleeding horribly, as if the giant became a stream of water. His eyes rolled over and he foamed at his mouth. The large sword, a block of iron that he was wielding, had fallen in a spot, rained with blood.

He stepped on the giant's leg, and the blonde man swung the blood off his sword.

"You crazy girl! What the hell did you just do!! You could have died!"

He turned his body towards Eun-woo and shouted.

Eun-woo trembled at the ugly and scary appearance of the blond man whose entire upper body was stained with blood for a moment. For an instant, she thought that she was afraid of numbness in her limbs.

But soon Eun-woo shook her head, brushing off such useless fear.

Isn't this the man the one who abused himself?

Eun-woo raised her chin up again, opened her eyes, and looked straight ahead at the blond man. He, too, stared at her with his firm expression on his face for a few seconds without saying a word. Soon he shook his head as if he couldn't help it. He hated to admit it, but it seemed to awaken him the thought that without her help, it wouldn't be the giant that laid on the floor lifelessly but him.

At that time, the remaining group shouted at once and ran towards the blonde man and Eun-woo. When the giant fell, the men with their eyes turned upside down, even the last bulwark, charged without looking back and forth.

The man quickly stood in front of Eun-woo. Then he kicked the arm of a man who was lying on the floor. Then the dagger held by the man who fell to the floor flew in the direction of her.

"Oh, for now hold that! Don't even think about coming in front of me!

Eun-woo quickly bent over and grabbed the small dagger that sat under her feet in both hands.

Before she could say thank you, even through her nostrils, the blonde man was already engaged in a fierce battle with the scoundrels.

While wandering, rolling her feet, Eun-woo did her best to help him by throwing all kinds of broken and sharp objects at the enemies that could be seen between the men.

After destroying the giant, they swept away the remaining gang one after another. The enemies who hid behind the big man and were aiming for the man's side were now completely dead and could not avoid the attack of the blonde man who flew right to the nape of his neck.

"It's worth seeing you wet your pants to lose that fat shield! You cowardly rats!"

The blonde man, with blood on his face and mercilessly wielding a petty sword, looked like a demon. Eun-woo was able to feel the faint pleasure of seeing the enemies falling like tree branches while her legs were shaking in fear.

However, their fight, which seemed to have won the victory, stumbled again in an instant. The scene between the spectators who surrounded them was caught in Eun-woo's sight.

Squeezing between them, a fat man appeared, whom the blonde man hit a long time ago. Behind the man who was called Owen, another group of gangsters appeared one after another.

They all looked like they were holding a sharp metal piece like a sickle or a hoe in their hands.

"Those guys! Damn you, they're so tough…!"

"The Rethual gang has already been defeated…!"

Owen, who had one eye and a dirty bandage all over his head, swayed his fleshy forearm and shook his hand. He wailed a boar and shouted at the two remaining people in rage.

"Cut that blonde-haired man's neck and sell the girl to a brothel…!"

The crowd roared in unison and rushed to them in an instant.
