Goodies From Afar

Mark was now on his way home, too many thoughts disorderly ran through his mind. The question what next? Had been repeatedly posed to him by his mind as he had on resumption to duty that morning, submitted his resignation letter from being the secretary of the firm, a private chamber. Mark has got no plans but had lied in the letter that he has gotten an offer in a far off state. Now his brain posed questions that his mind needed to clarify so that his whole being can be at peace and feel assured that he hadn't done a wrong thing. He hadn't felt at peace with himself and his job and wanted to take a blind leap of faith, trusting that he may land on something greener. These thoughts raced through his mind as he went home; is this the right decision? Should l wait a little more? Was I being impatient? But if i don't make a move nothing would come, but this is a blind move, man, another thought would dispute. All these thoughts fought for dominance, rationality and consideration in his mind that he did not notice that he had covered up to half of the distance to his house on foot. On realizing this, Mark concluded to continue on foot as he saw no need to board a bike, the saved transport fare may be used for the next day. Still while on his way home, Mark had thought about life when he was much younger, how he had thought everything he wanted to be was very possible, how he had never pictured life for a glimpse of a second's move to be a sort of what he was going through at the present. Although Mark had not come from a rich home, he had never thought life needed a sort of consistent planning towards the future. He only knew that if he should go to school and become educated, he was going to get a job and other plans would follow afterwards.
