Chapter 3 - Humanity Adapting to an Extreme Change

After discovering that his superpower is actually very complicated, he decided to write down everything on his notebook. While doing it, he also found out that he can make the screen of texts appear and disappear at his will. Moreover, he became certain that his Battleform System responds to his thought that are related to it when necessary, so if he wants to see the information about his Battleforms, he just needs to think of it and the golden texts will appear in his sight again.

Razen was very excited this time. Who wouldn't get excited if they suddenly discovered they have special abilities? Many children in the world knows how anime characters with superpowers are cool.

Still, the biggest questions are, 'how did they suddenly obtain special abilities? And why did the Blue-Sky Ray event happen?' These were the biggest mystery that ever come in the entire human history.

In the chat group…

[Redfire Emperor: "@Razen you shxt kitten! Just you wait tomorrow!"]

[Loyd: "Hahahaha…"]

[Loyd: "He's back online. Get ready to be kicked out again. Haha"]

[Redfire Emperor: "I don't care."]

[Loyd: "@Razen how did it go?"]

Razen sent a 'thumbs up.' Seeing it, Razen's classmates congratulated him. They were all very excited to see each other with special abilities.

[Redfire Emperor: "Ohhhh… so what's the kitten's special ability?"]

Razen's icon on the chat group fell to the bottom of the last chat bubble.

Seen…

[Fairy Lady: "pm me" (excited emoji)]

[Razen: "ok"]

And just like that, Redfire Emperor's question was left in the dust. It was fine if Razen do not reveal his special ability to everyone; only a few did among his classmates anyway.

As for Fairy Lady or Lea, she was very kind to Razen so he often agree to her requests.

"I can create fire in my hands," he told Lea and she wow'ed his message. He decided not to tell anyone about everything yet.

"So, yours is the same as Freyil's and Liza's?" asked Lea. The "Freyil" she mentioned was actually the "Redfire Emperor" she has pranked recently, while "Liza" was another classmate.

"I don't know."

"Do you guys have something like a 'system' in your superpowers?" Razen added a question out of curiosity. He wanted to find out his special power has some similarities with other's. But Lea didn't understand what he meant and asked, "what do you mean?

"Nothing, don't mind it…" Razen decided to stop as he had already guessed that the other party is totally clueless about the 'system' he has mentioned.

Meanwhile, Lea squinted but did not pursue on the topic any longer.

"I'm really excited. It's like fantasy came true," she said.

"Indeed."

"By the way, you should watch the news. Our government has very recently announced that they will put a restriction in regards to those who acquired super abilities from the Blue-Sky Ray phenomenon." Lea informed.

Nodding in agreement, Razen sent a big 'thumbs up' emoji.

For a moment, it seemed that Lea still want to say more. The little white bubble with moving dots that comes out when the chat-mate is typing appeared and disappeared a few times. But Razen didn't put any attention to it.

"See you tomorrow?" Lea finally said with a sweet-smiling emoji at the end.

"See you tomorrow," Razen simply responded before he turned off his internet connection. He lied on his white bed and breathed deeply. He slowly shook his head and suddenly thought, "perhaps, nothing weird will ever shock me after this day."

...

Just like Lea has said, the new restriction act that was agreed by the higher authorities was publicized in the evening news report. The government has acted quite fast and did what was needed at the critical moment.

It was very simple though. The act only gave more emphasis on forbidding the use of special abilities on public areas. In truth, it was already the best that they can do because they knew that if they go beyond that, individual rights will be affected, which can have negative outcomes instead that can worsen the current situation.

The governments all over the world really went all out, preventing a potential disaster. They didn't even hesitate to use military power just to control the situation. Of course, they could not just neglect the troublemakers.

A lot of things has already happened, even though it was still the same day when the Blue-Sky Ray event happened. The pace of the situation's development was quite fast, and it was because humanity wasn't weak and slow.

...

On the next day, Monday, nothing was said about postponement of classes, so Razen just went to school normally. However, he also couldn't deny that he was excited to know his classmates super abilities, that's why he was somewhat hurrying towards the school this morning. Who wouldn't feel like that? Experiencing a fantasy world but not willing to explore the wonders? In Razen's words, that's "lame and boring."
